~ ALICE'S POV ~

It's been an hour since Hazel and Luna left for the party.

"I'm hungry do you want to make chicken nuggets or cookies or something?" I say pausing our movie.

"Yes!" Eleanor gets up off the bed and I follow her out the door.

We walk by Nolan's room and the doors open. I stop and walk inside to see if he's home. I should probably apologize for earlier.

Looking around I don't see him. "What's up?" Eleanor comes up behind me.

"Nothing." I say as I continue to walk downstairs.

Eleanor and I walk around the house and into the kitchen. Nobody seems to be home.

"Where is everyone?" Eleanor asks opening the freezer. I'm assuming she's looking for chicken nuggets.

"Uhm I have no idea." I look around again and see that the back patio light is on. I pull the blinds back and open the door that's unlocked.

I walk outside and see Owen, Miles, and Gabe sitting and talking. "For a second I thought nobody was home." I cross my arms and lean against the wall staring at them.

"Why would we leave you home alone with Elle?" Owen chuckles taking a sip from his mug.

I shrug. Looking around again I notice Nolan's not there.

"Where the hell is Nolan?" I stop leaning on the wall and stand straight on my two feet.

Gabe sighs and looks at Owen.

Owen puts his mug down and looks at me. "He went out."

I furrow my eyebrows. "Where?"

"To the party that I wasn't invited too." Miles rolls his eye's offended.

"And the one I was told I want allowed to go to?!" I say annoyed.

"Listen. Things happen at those parties and we want you safe. We sent Nolan with the girls so he can watch over them." Owen stands up walking towards me.

I shake my head and laugh. "Yea cause that makes total sense."

"It does." Owen crosses his arms.

"Why do you want to go so bad anyways? Parties aren't as cool as they seem Aly. Look, Elle stayed back with you." He points to Eleanor putting the chicken nuggets on the baking tray.

"Yeah whatever I'm sick of arguing about what I can and can't do all the damn time!" I walk away from him closing the backyard door.

I wait for him to run inside and yell at me but he doesn't.

I walk back to Eleanor and see she's already put the food in the oven.

I sit on the floor beside her as we watch the Chicken nuggets cook.

"Hey aly?" Eleanor turns to me.

"Yeah?" I ask looking back.

"I know you think these parties are everything but im going to have to agree with your brothers... they really aren't that great." She pauses for a second.
