~ IVANS POV ~
It's been a couple days since I've seen Aly. I text her almost everyday but it's not the same.
"Are you okay dude?" Josh asks from the desk beside mine.
I look at him confused. "Yeah?"
"You look extremely tired." Josh points out.
I don't feel that tired. But if I were to lay down I'd probably fall asleep.
"I was up late last night." I say turning back to my paper.
I was texting Aly last night until 1 in the morning. She said she couldn't sleep so I stayed up to talk to her.
"Talking to Aly?" Josh raises an eyebrow.
I don't say anything. This makes josh laugh. "I knew it."
I roll my eyes at him.
"Alys cool and all but you have to be careful." I turn to give josh a look. What does he mean by that?
"I heard her dads crazy. Also that it rubbed off on her." Josh says this as if it's a fact. Where did he heat this from? My Lis is nothing like her dad.
"Where did you hear that?" I ask josh sharply.
"Graham and some of his friends." I try my best to control my anger. If it comes down to it I'll have to beat Graham up for even looking at Lis.
"So you're just going to believe every word that comes out of Grahams mouth?" I ask annoyed.
"Well I think they dated so he knows her pretty well." Josh says casually.
"Alice never dated Graham." I say confidently. Seeing the way she acted around him speaks for itself. She even told me about how he tried asking her on a date. "And she would never date him. I know her."
"You sure about that? You haven't seen her in years, and all of a sudden she's back in your life? Sounds weird to me." Now I'm angry.
"She has things going on at home! I've known her way longer than anyone! Don't sit there and act like you weren't friends with her either! You know her better than Graham. It's unbelievable how easily you believe other people!" The classroom is now quiet. I didn't realize I was yelling until now.
"IVAN OFFICE NOW!" I look away from Josh so I'm looking at my teacher. Without another word I grab my backpack and leave.
I know Lis. Even if Graham and Alice dated I know better then to believe it was healthy. I won't let anyone break Alice apart again. She's already been through enough.
Instead of going to the office I leave the school. If they want to give me detention for skipping they can do that.
I get inside my car and then I take out my phone. I open Alys contact so I can call her.
It takes awhile but she finally picks up. "You're lucky I wasn't in class."
I laugh. "Where are you right now then?"
"My class went outside for 'fresh air' so I snuck away for awhile." She sighs.
"Lis can you be honest with me?" I ask hesitantly.
"What is it?" She asks softly.
"Is Graham bothering you?" She silent for awhile.
"Why are you asking me that?" She forces a small laugh.
"He's saying stuff about you and I want to make sure you're okay. I won't hesitate to hurt him if he's hurting you." I reply.
"Ivan.." she pauses. But she doesn't finish. She's interrupted by someone but I can't tell who.
"Lis?" I ask her.
About 2 minutes later she finally speaks. "Sorry Ivan but I have to go now. No one is hurting me okay? I'm fine. Thank you for caring though." She says the last sentence almost sadly. As if she doesn't want me to care.
But before I can respond she hangs up.
I'm left alone in my car not knowing what to do. I stare at my wallpaper. little Ivan and Aly smiling together. I wish I could go back to those simpler times.
