As Dilton tells us what happened with Archie and Miss Grandy, my mouth hanging open in shock along with Betty's

Few days later I was hanging out in the southside with the  serpents not wanting to be at Miss Grundy's concert jughead picked me up after and we went to Pops hanging out with Veronica, Kevin and Betty and jughead starts venting about how he's losing his job because the drive-in is closing. I don't back in hearing him say. " we should be trying to save it." And I notice under the table Teddy puts a hand on his leg to comfort him, and I get angry "excuse me guys I'll be back" I get up and walk outside nobody really noticing that I was walking away as Betty moves her hand away from Jughead's leg I go outside and soon after I see Archie walking up with his dad and Miss Grundy "oh no.." I watch from the outside as Betty walks up to the table, pulling Archie outside to talk alone far from the entrance, but close enough to where I could still hear them

" Archie as your best friend is there anything you want to tell me?" Betty asks " I don't think so" he answers quickly I laugh softly to myself  as Betty sighs " miss Grundy was at Sweetwater River on July 4th were you with her?" His face suddenly goes serious. " did jughead tell you.?" he asks softly  and I step forward " Jughead knows about this!?" Betty asked as Archie and I both look inside the window where our friends are sitting and Jughead sinks down in his seat with a worried look on his face Veronica vent stands up, and I see her come outside, standing next to me.

" it's not what you're thinking" Archie says " so it's platonic?" Betty asks " OK well, maybe it's a little like what you're thinking..." I cut in "oh Archie" I say with a playful pout " are you in miss Grundy like, together?" I tilt my head ask Betty asks " and don't lie Archiekins" I say, softly "like romantically?" Betty asks as Veronica steps closer finally catching on with her mouth dropped " oh my God you and your music teacher are having an affair?!" Veronica asks "we are.. together look I know that sounds bad, but..." Veronica puts a hand up "bad? It sounds scandalous." Betty looks up " it sounds like jail time to me. Illegal!" She yells. "Betty dont go there" archie says quickly " Oh, I'm already there." I raise my hand. " me to Archie. I hate to say it, but you may have been groomed..." he turns to Face Veronica " Ronnie a little help here!!" Veronica stutters on her words "I mean technically, Betty and y/n are right and ethically well what is Grundy to you anyways? Your girlfriend? Your booty tutor?" She jokes a bit " I don't know, I don't know what to call her" I sigh " you said you were at the river alone you lied to sheriff Keller to all of us why? To protect her?" Betty says " She believed me when no one else did." Betty looks down sad " OK we get it" I cut him off " Betty say something please" all she does is shake her head as her mom pulls up in her car to get her telling her to get in the car and she just walks away saying nothing as I walked back inside

Not before seeing Cheryl peeking at my mom and jugheads dad having a conversation by the dumpster 

The next day of school, I see Archie questioning Jughead, while walking down the hall, while jughead is handing out papers, and I walked the opposite way, trying to avoid Jughead  due to feeling like I was being led on till Betty makes up her mind I seem to find my way into the lounge with Veronica and Kevin shortly after Cheryl walks in as Kevin makes a joke about hags

" speaking of hags veronica, y/n it is so devastating to think that your mother has to sync to such unspeakable lows just to keep it does knock off Hermes bags on your arms. What's next selling her hair extensions?" I roll my eyes but say nothing knowing what she's talking about after seeing her with FP Jones at pop's  " our mom is a waitress Cheryl not Fantine and you're faux concern reeks  of ulterior motive what is it?" we both look at Cheryl . " only to remind you of your place in this school. Nay the towns social hierarchy." I lean back in my seat " threatened much?" Veronica asks. " what does any of this have to do with our mom being a waitress?" She stands facing Cheryl " just that I saw her talking to a Southside serpent last night in the alley behind pops they were having an extremely heated, intimate discussion." She says with a smile showing Veronica the picture on her phone
