The Game - Shattered into pieces

While we were inside the game she lost consciousness. Then a robotic voice announced "first round: staring contest" but with her unconscious I was wondering how to complete this round alone. But after a few seconds as if gasping for breath she was back to reality and was coughing a little. I hugged and patted her back a little and pouted the words almost spontaneously "do u have any idea how much worried I was !, I thought I lost u forever again" saying these words i slowly pulled away and lifted her gaze towards me. I could see she was shocked, that is when I realized what I had told. I immediately diverted her by saying 'we should continue the game'. Just then, as if I was being helped, the countdown for the contest started 5 . . . . . 4 . . . . 3 . . . 2 . . 1 beep beep beep. I took her hand in mine and we slowly stood up staring at each other. Soon we were in 2 circles meant for the two players which were named after us under my demand. As soon as we were in the position arrows flew between our eyes trying to break the stare. It became hard to constantly stare at each other but we held the stare long enough to finish the first round with victory. As we completed the first round successfully the game took us to the next round in which we had to fight a few monsters together and this round tested our team work but the advantage given to players in this game was telepathic communication. The monsters couldn't see or hear us but could feel our telepathic communications through vibrations. If we talked to each other instead of telepathy the monsters would gain more power and would increase their size which were a disadvantage to us. understanding the game quickly i got up with a solution. I started communicating to her telepathically and explained her the game and told her my plan, so that the monsters could get closer to us. When they were close enough I looked at her, pointed towards the monster and winked then I started screaming furiously. She followed my lead and started screaming, I guessed she understood my plan though she was dazed half of the time. The five small monsters grew into two big powerful monsters then I gave a sign with my eyes which meant jump onto them. With one jump we were on the monsters backs and we started communicating telepathically. The both monsters rushed at each other. As a sign I whizzled and landed safely on the ground. She wasn't fast enough to hear my signal, so at the last minute I had to save her by catching her in my arms and screeching the cries of joy for our victory.
Then I put her down slowly, coming out of the daze she was in. Suddenly she jumped with joy and hugged me shouting "victory" and gave me a peck on my cheek. I turned red coz that was unexpected. Previously in my life from the future she used to tease me whenever I turned red. Likewise she started teasing me by asking me why I had been blushing. In the past I used to deny it and she used to make a cute face for which I always let my guard down and kissed her and said "yes I did blush because you're mine and am yours forever." This time I observed something different in her as if her old self has been renewed or as if she's been updated coz while she was teasing me and I looked at her by dilating my eyes; she was constantly blushing along with me. We both laughed together and I playfully wrapped my hand around her waist and pulled her closer. I embraced her in my arms. She said "I could drown like this forever in your eyes or you can bore a hole on my face with your cute little puppy eyes." Her words turned on the flirty side of me and I replied moving closer to her "really!!, but I have very dangerous big eyes and am a hole puncher, you know. The holes might be very deep and you might get hurt, do you still want me to bore a hole??. For a moment there she was blushing but then again she changed her expression. It was cold and pale and she looked in rage, she could've burnt something right now if she released her potential energy. It was as if she got reminded of a horrifying incident from the past. She broke away from my arms and turned away, she started telling "no!! You can't do that; you should never hurt me and I do not want to get hurt." then out of fear she started stuttering "ah........ah.........ah......ah........I da........da........da......don't wa......wa......wan.......want u......uh......you ta......ta........to ha.....ha........hurt ma.....ma.......ma......me". Her voice, especially when she said no; it was alarming. For a moment I thought she knew the past and I assumed she figured I killed her and reversed time but that was impossible unless she had visions like a psychic. I hugged her from behind and kept my chin on her head then I squeezed her hands and said "you silly, why would I hurt the most precious gem in my life; why would I want to see you sad or in misery. I will do anything to keep you happy and bring back a smile on your face." We closed our eyes and stood there for a moment at the edge of the forest. The Bot suddenly cleared its voice, I opened my eyes and sighed heavily then, with irritation I shouted " seriously Bot!!, couldn't you wait a little longer." The Bot didn't respond and the environment became so silent that I heard my own heartbeat. It was rapid as she was near me. She broke the silence by giggling and said 'thank you' with a cute smile on her face. She was so cute that I wanted to bite her puffed cheeks as she looked so chubby. Breaking the romantic moment between us the robotic voice announced "you've reached your final round" suddenly a virtual character appeared behind us so we turned back; it was an old man. He said "no one was able to cross this round successfully during the series of tests, let's see if you can and become the first winner of this game so far. This will be your final meeting so just say your goodbye's, you'll be given 10 mins before the next round starts". I took her aside and she curiously asked "is this not the first time the game is being tested??. I answered "no, previously we used the help of top most video game players but no one succeeded, if we do we'll be the first ones to set a high score and finally the game will be ready to launch in the market". I stroked her hair behind her ear and said ' remember we'll have our telepathy so don't forget to use it without missing any detail of the place you'll be kept in, because this is the round where one have to their partner and no one knows where their partner will be kept in this entire game. They'll be given telepathy so that their partner can describe the place to them. It will be hard for us but we can do it. Come on, let's go. Saying that I kissed her forehead affectionately. We turned towards the virtual character. She suddenly disappeared I assumed the next round started just then i heard her voice in my head, she was communicating telepathically she said 'don't worry; am fine; the game has started; the old man dropped me in some cave through a hole and it's pitch dark in here; there are some sorta creeping branches that are hanging inwards from the hole but am unable to come out using these branches; these are slippery' then i said 'it's okay i'll figure it out'. The old man came to me and said " the game has started, your partner can be anywhere in this entire game and you should find her in less than an hour only then you'll be given bonus points but the maximum time you'll be given is two hours. This boy is your first clue". The Old man left. The boy said his name was 'Krish Rushmore' whose father I'll have to battle against in order to seek the first clue, his mother was held captive in the same way my partner was captured. His father was the one who captured his mother so Krish assumed it might be his father this time too. Then he started telling me that later, his parents died in that cave. His father came back from the immortal realm after 20 years by then Krish married the person he loved but his father captured her in the same cave, he prayed to gods saying he wants his mother back and he was a poor fellow who couldn't even fight his own father. The gods fulfilled his wish and his mother came back, she fought her husband with a particular special knife; Krish gave me that knife and he also said that to obtain that sword and activate it one must get enlightened in the cave the same way his mother did and that's how the cave was named " the cave of enlightenment" Krish then revealed that he wants to use the cave, also called "the cave of light" to fulfill his dreams but his father won't let him as he defeated his mother and occupied the cave hence he'll need a warrior's help so that he can get the ownership of what's rightfully his. He took me to his mother's grave and left me alone with his mother, only her ashes were present. I touched her ashes applying some force and a special move associated specifically with my clothing for the character I was given. The dead woman came back to life, in terms of game we can say she got revived and gave me the map to the cave and activated my sword saying "no one ever approached my son like you did, this is the least i could do to help you". I followed the map into the cave. Her husband was guarding it. He rose up into the air as soon as he saw me, he challenged in a loud; deep; grumpy villain voice saying " you'll never be able to pass me, if you want the ownership of the cave; you must win a battle against me to prove your righteousness". We both got onto the battlefield, the duel was challenging because there was very less chance for me to win as the game tested my strength but the twist is that the guardian of the cave is way more stronger than me but resistance was one of my strength's too Including my quick healing abilities. I managed to resist his blow for a long time which made me win. I telepathically conveyed this to her, she responded saying "please come soon, i am so scared of darkness; it's so lonely in here" I said her to not worry and sing a song and fill the cave with her beautiful voice she giggled and said "okay, I'll do that, don't be so cheeky". As a bonus I got the map for her location in which it pointed out the places she visited and wherever she was going like a GPS I filled in with the info to her, she squealed with happiness and said 'come soon, I am waiting'. I said " don't worry, I will find you no matter what".

From time to time the game becomes dark or light depending on the variations of day and night likewise the game became dark meaning it was night in the game and I only had one more hour left to find her. After that I saw Krish running towards me, he halted and gasped for breath after a moment he told me that his mother had appeared in his dream and said "If you seek your partner, you must meditate inside the cave immediately; clock's ticking, only then you will be able to halt her position", right after Krish completed filling me in with the details he vanished saying "i have work to do, am heading back to town; let's catch up later". I found the cave and went inside it. The cave was filled with a beam of blue light with a pond and a tree in the pond at the center. I swam in the pond and sat on the platform surrounding the tree and started meditating. I felt like my body was in a trance and was moving, I felt a nauseous pit inside my stomach. It felt like the same way the first time I reversed time and traveled back for her. After some time I landed on my feet somewhere unknown to me but when I looked up I realized where I was. It was the future, my home where I actually come from. I rushed to the nearby newspaper stand and asked the paperboy to give me the newspaper dating back to when I entered the game and the day after that, the boy went in and searched for minutes in a pile of newspapers and gave me the newspaper meeting my description. I didn't have to search long because it was in the headlines that "there was a glitch in the upcoming game of Tycoon Game Productions and the game has been shattered into pieces from the insides, the owner went missing along with his co-partner during the testing and the Lab almost got burned...blah.....blah.......blah.....the team tried to bring them back with the help of their coding knowledge but no luck!!. I returned the paper to the boy and was about to return to my former home but the boy stopped me and asked "are you their acquaintance, I feel sorry for you. The owner was a very good man and I heard he helped many homeless children. I am sorry that till today they have not been found." I was shocked hearing this and was worried about her because from the game if i am here; then where did she go?. I have my former home to time travel to but where would she go??. I overcame my thoughts and worries and headed back to my former house. I was shocked to see that my power supply was on and the house was fully functional. I stepped in front of the door and pressed the calling bell. I was outraged by seeing the person who opened the door for me, he said "welcome brother" with a demonic grin.
