A possession

I was stuck in a crowd,
With my head overfilling with thoughts,
It was a demon whom i fought.

My skin went pale,
My hands shivered.
My palms started sweating
My eyes started welling
It was sad to know,
the demon wasn't failing.

I watched it slowly take over me,
And bring my self-control lower.
My brain started to burn,
My happiness started to run.
Trust me it was not fun.

The demon growled,
And i screamed.
My blood pressure rose
My eyes began to close
I fell to the ground and froze.

I was possessed,
By the demon,
The demon of anxiety.
No exorcism could end its terrorism.
