Renjun's POV

Italics for his thoughts

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As the days passed, Renjun and Yangyang's bond grew stronger. They spent more time together, and their initial awkwardness turned into genuine affection. Renjun and Mark were also in constant communication, fine-tuning the plan to ensure Haechan's escape from the wedding.

On the wedding day, tensions were at their peak. The Lee family was anxious about Haechan's sudden disappearance, and rumors were spreading like wildfire. Speculations arose about what might have happened, and some guests even questioned if the wedding would take place at all.

As the time for the ceremony approached, Renjun's heart pounded in his chest. He knew the risks they were taking, but his determination to help Haechan be with the one he loved only grew stronger.

The wedding commenced, but the atmosphere was tense and uneasy. Everyone was on edge, whispering anxiously and stealing glances at the empty seat reserved for Haechan. The Lees were fuming and demanding answers from the Liu family, but they had none to give.

In the midst of the chaos, Yangyang saw an opportunity to execute their plan. He stepped forward, his face etched with concern and urgency. "I have something to say," he declared, projecting his voice to draw the attention of everyone present.

"You Huang Renjun!" Yangyang's voice rang out, filled with emotion. "You're gonna have to marry me now."

Gasps echoed throughout the room as people tried to make sense of the sudden declaration. The Lees looked shocked, and confusion spread among the guests.

Oh god it's started

Playing his part in the act, Renjun acted surprised. "What? Why me?" he asked, trying to feign ignorance.

Yangyang's eyes glistened with desperation. "I can't find Haechan anywhere," he explained, his voice trembling with emotion. "And you're the only one here who can marry me. Please, I don't want this wedding to be a disaster."

Woah this dude deserves an oscar

Renjun hesitated for a moment, aware of the weight of the situation. He knew he had to play along to ensure Haechan's escape. Taking a deep breath, he nodded. "Okay, I'll do it."

Turning to Renjun's parents, Yangyang pleaded, "Mr. and Mrs. Huang, I know this is unexpected, but please, can you allow Renjun to marry me? It's the only way to save the situation."

Renjun's parents exchanged surprised glances, taken aback by the sudden turn of events.

Please please let me marry him

After a moment of silence, Renjun's father spoke up, "If Renjun is willing to do this, then we trust his judgment. We'll support him."

Renjun's mother nodded in agreement. "Yes, if this is what Renjun wants, then we're okay with it."

Wow that was easy. They have so much trust in me aww.

The room remained abuzz with shock and confusion, but Yangyang and Renjun managed to execute their act convincingly. They stood together, hand in hand, portraying an image of spontaneity.

The Lees' expression changed as they realized what was happening. "No! We forbid you from marrying Yangyang!" they exclaimed, glaring daggers at Renjun.

Oh geez these people have no chill.

Yangyang ignored them and said to Renjun, "Let's get married as soon as possible."

Renjun nodded, feeling a flutter in his chest at the realization that he was now going to be Yangyang's husband.

The Liu mansion servants, who were already informed about the plan, quickly whisked Renjun away and dressed him in a white suit that Yangyang had prepared.

After the dress was on, the servants applied makeup on Renjun's face and styled his hair. The overall effect was stunning, and Renjun couldn't help but admire his reflection in the mirror. He had never worn makeup before, and he had to admit, it did look pretty good.

This is nice. I'll have to do this again sometime.

His thoughts were interrupted when his phone vibrated. It was a message from Mark, saying, "Everything's set. Haechan's safe with me. We're leaving soon"

Renjun was overjoyed. His best friends were finally together.

He quickly texted a congratulations before being whisked away to the altar by the servants. He felt his heartbeat fast as he waited for his wedding to begin.

The ceremony started, and Renjun saw Yangyang waiting in the distance, wearing a suit that matched Renjun's. He couldn't help but smile when he saw that.

At the altar, Yangyang and Renjun faced each other, holding hands. Renjun's heart raced as he realized what was about to happen.

He had never imagined marrying anyone, let alone someone he had only met a week ago.

Yangyang squeezed his hands as if to say it's going to be okay.

"I, Yangyang, take you, Huang Renjun, to be my lawfully wedded husband," Yangyang solemnly recited the wedding vows.

Renjun's hands trembled, and he had to steady himself with a deep breath before speaking. "I, Huang Renjun, take you, Yangyang, to be my lawfully wedded husband."

With exchanged rings and the priest's pronouncement, they were declared husband and husband.

Yangyang wanted to pull Renjun closer and kiss him passionately, but they had to maintain their act. So, he settled for a gentle peck on Renjun's cheek.

When the ceremony was over, the two of them stood side by side, facing the guests. Everyone applauded and cheered, expressing their happiness for the newlyweds.

The Lees, on the other hand, were barely containing their rage as they stood beside the Liu family, witnessing the unexpected turn of events.

The act was a success, and the world believed that Yangyang and Renjun's marriage was a result of impromptu circumstances. But little did they know that it was all part of a carefully orchestrated plan to ensure Haechan's happiness.
