Chapter 20

Donnie's POV

We just stood there. Both on shock of what we just did.

"I...I have to go," Brenna said and turned around.

"Wait," I called.

"Let's talk later," Brenna said and continued to walk away.

I am so confused right now. I just came to help her with her project, and we somehow ended up kissing. I didn't even like her. I'm not sure anymore though.

I walked back to my house. Am I going to tell them? It's probably better of I don't. They already bug me enough.

As I walked through the door, I guess I was smiling a bit.

"What's up Donnie?" Raph asked knowing something was up.

"Nothing," I said immediately after he said that.

"What happened?" Raph asked.

"Nothing," I said remembering that Karai was the only one who knew Brenna was at the park.

I took a seat on the couch, Raph wasn't done questioning me.

"I know something's up," Raph explained.

"I don't know what you're talking about," I lied.

Raph looked me straight in the eye.

"You're lying."

"What's it to you if I am," I asked.

"I'll figure out what happened," Raph said and left.

That was close, I thought to myself.

After resting for a bit, I decided to work on my project. I had almost finished, I just needed a few more facts.

I was hard at work when Karai came in the lab.

"How was it?" she asked.

"It was fine," I answered.

I guess I started to blush a bit, remembering what happened because the next thing she asked was "Why are you blushing? What happened?"

"Nothing," I lied.

"You know I can't tell when you're lying, right?"

"It doesn't matter what happened."

"Did you kiss?" Karai asked completely ignoring my last comment.

I started blushing even more. Even if I did lie, she'd know I wasn't telling the truth.

I looked at her I shook my head yes.

She started smiling.

"You better not tell anyone," I warned.

"I won't," she answered still smiling.

"So are you going to admit that you like her yet?" Karai asked.

"I'm not sure if I do," I explained.

"Right," she said sarcastically.

Even though she said she wouldn't, I was scared that she would. She'll probably find a way to use it against me.

Mikey's POV

I was in my room face timing Sidney. Even though I get to see her on FaceTime, I still do miss her.

"How's school?" I asked her.

"It's okay. It'd be better if you were with me," she answered.

"I wish you were with me too. But if we're still dating for a few more years, I'll come," I said.

She smiled. "That's so sweet," she answered.

"It's also true, I will."

We talked for a while, until she decided she had to go do her homework.

I decided to do mine too. I have one thing due tomorrow that I probably should do today. Then again, that's how I mainly do my projects, the day before they're due.
