~ MY THOUGHTS ON SPEAK NOW ~

Thought I would give anyone who does read this before tomorrow an actual part. Probably no one will, but anyways, I have motivation so gotta make the most of that yk.

I LOVE THIS ALBUM. When I was first listening to Taylor's music (I started with lover for reasons I can't remember and then went back to the beginning and listened to them in order) this was the first album that really made me OBSESSED (no disrespect to debut or fearless, and ofc not lover either - they will always have a place in my world <3 I think I just needed a bit more time with lover) I liked Taylor's music before, but when I listened to speak now I was hooked. I was listening to it every day, and this was the first time I had been truly obsessed with music.

Speak now for me is a magical album. It is enchanting, and sparks fly when I listen to it. I liked it before, but I think Taylor's version gave me a new appreciation for it. Her vocals are SO AMAZING, and so is the production, and ofc the songs, and just ugh.

Speak now is an album of dreams. It is being in love, but not in the way that lover is, but more in a fever dream, desperately hoping kind of way. It is an album of fairytales and stories, but not in the way that folklore or evermore are. Speak now is a wishful, hopeful album. It is also angry. Taylor is proving the haters wrong with this album, as she is so amazing at doing.

I personally feel that speak now is the first album where taylor officially leaves her childhood behind. She spoke about growing up on debut and fearless as well, with a place in this world and fifteen, but with never grow up she is looking back at her childhood, rather than looking towards adulthood as she was before.

Taylor wrote this album all by herself, as you no doubt know, and I think that is one of the things that makes it so special - it is all her. No one can claim that she doesn't deserve its success. No one can claim that it is only successful because of other people. It is all Taylor. She wrote every song on that album with her own hand, from her own brain. And now she officially owns those songs again <3

Wow I just got emotional thinking about that T^T

Off topic, but speak now tv being next after midnights was something we actually got right for once-

Anyways, speak now will always be special to me. It may be quite low on my rankings, and tbh I would probably put it a bit higher now, but that's because Taylor's albums are just SO GOOD. I'm honestly sad about how low speak now and red are, but I think that's my honest ranking of them. I can't see them above any of the albums I ranked above them.

Anyway, that was me rambling about speak now. Hopefully that made sense and I didn't sound like a complete idiot, and hopefully if you're reading this, you enjoyed it.
