Killer?
The night was silent and peaceful- well not for Caleb though. His sleep was practically nonexistent since the moment he smelt that petrichor scent with an underlying pine tone. He tossed and turned, his mind a jumbled mess as he thought about everything- well, everything about a certain white-haired boy or Elrid as Zander said.
Elrid Forest, he mumbled, testing how the name rolled around his tongue.
It was beautiful and unique. It suited the white hair and that ebony eyes of his.
Caleb turned on his stomach, pushing his face into his pillow; it smelled of him, since a wolf was territorial creature, his room was his territory, any unwanted scents are not welcomed by him or his wolf. So, it was not a surprise that his room smelled solely of him. it always consoled him, to smell something entirely his and Ares. But now as he lays there, face buried deep into his pillow as his own scent filled his nose; he couldn't help but wish if there was that scent with him- that smell of earth during first rain in a pine forest, the smell of green forest. Fresh and sweet. Ares whined inside him, wanting his mate's scent on everything and anything surrounding him.
He grumbled, cursing at his wolf for whining about that boy to him for every passing minutes. He knows it's not his wolf's fault; he was wired that way- to blindly fall in love with someone who was destined for them. Mate was everything for them, even if they were werewolves, vampires or witches or even that stupidly sexually driven incubus; mate was ones purpose. To protect them, fall in love with them, cherish them, have pups with them. So, he can't blame his wolf for his earning. It wasn't like he was not waiting for them. Goddess, he was twenty-two-year-old and still haven't had his first kiss yet. As a kid he always thought-he still think so- that his body, mind and soul everything belonged to her, his mate. And that's the problem; her, he always thought it was a her. A person with boobs and v's, not a d.
Caleb don't know what to do. Growing up, watching his mother and father, the Alpha and Luna, the Gamma couple everyone in his pack was that; a woman and a man. So, he thought that was love, between a man and a woman. So, he wished to have a woman like his mother; beautiful and kind, but fierce yet gentle. He wanted that. The first time, he saw a homosexual couple his face was scrunched so much that so he couldn't keep the frown away from his face for the entire day. As soon as he reached home, he rushed to find Fionna; complained about how two girls kissed each other saying that they were mates and they love each other. He was furious about how the Moon Goddess can make such mistakes.
Fionna was stunned when a twelve-year-old Caleb came to her and complained about how Moon Goddess made a mistake by creating two women as mates. She didn't know what went wrong or where it went wrong. She taught him better, she taught him about respect, kindness, equality and manner. And Caleb did just that, he always helped others in need and talked with everyone as if they were friends, he was kind and humble. Always talking and laughing. Always making friends with everyone without looking at anyones status or class. He treated everyone equally. And Fionna can't even recollect a single day, where Caleb throwed tantrum about his toys or things when he was a child- like normal kids at his age did- because he was that well behaved. Always calm and collected.
So, she was shocked to watch how her well-behaved son complaining about two women being mates. she doesn't know what to do, so she called her mate; Benjamin was laughing his lungs out when he came from his office. Just as he saw his mate sitting on the living room with a defeated expression and his son going on and on about how mates should be man and woman, his face contorting into one of determination. It was his first time seeing his oh so perfect son bad mouthing someone-even though it was anything but harmful. His grin widening even more as he saw the agitated expression on his mate's face. He couldn't believe he get to see his son behaving like this. It was common talk in their pack about how perfect his son was, how well behaved, kind hearted kid Caleb was. When the Alpha and gamma complained about their notorious kids with their troublesome attitudes, Benjamin was the only one who stood there without any complains or rants about his son's misbehavior or tantrum.
