Stacey's POV

I looked at myself in the mirror
The dress was a mid thigh length with long sleeves
It hugged my body so tightly
The grey crystals at the hem of the dress complimented the grey elastic material

I looked further in the box and saw white thigh high boots
I put in the shoes and did a nude makeup
I did a high ponytail and left two strands of hair at the front

I looked at myself on the full length mirror in the room
And what I saw shocked me
It's been so long since I looked this beautiful
I smiled a little and held the white purse

I came downstairs and I saw that Xavier wasn't down yet
So I sat on the couch waiting for him
From the corner of my eye I saw the same package Xavier was about to give me the other night

I walked to the package on the dinning table and lifted the package
I traced it then my curiosity got the best of me
I opened the wrapper and a pink card fell on the floor
I picked up the note and started reading it

Dear wife
Ever since I met you the only thing I wanted was for you to fall in love with me so we could build a happy family but it seems your happiness lies in your work and you being independent
I am ready to do anything as long as it makes you happy or rather fall in love with me and stay with me

So I brought work home to you

The letter explained it all and although I was angry with him
I couldn't bring myself to not smile at this beautiful and thoughtful gift
I heard footsteps then I dropped the gift then headed to the sitting room

When I got there Xavier was just coming down the staircase and immediately his eyes landed on me
He stopped in his tracks he gulped and it didn't go unnoticed by me
I smiled a little trying to contain my blush

He continued walking towards me and stopped at my front
He circled me.... I could feel his gaze all over my entire body making me shiver a bit
He stopped behind me and he placed a diamond chain around my neck

It was really pretty he directed me to a mirror and he stood behind me
I kept on staring at the little piece on my neck
I really loved it looked like one my mother wore but hers was blue
I touched the necklace on my neck it really complimented my entire look

"Do you like it" he said lowering his face to my ears
"Yea thanks" I said simply
He raised his head a little and stared at me through the mirror
Our eyes connected

"If you don't like it I can get you a bigger one" he said and I arched my eyebrows
He likes spending money on stupid things
"No...no...no I love it really thanks" i assured him
He just nodded his head and lead me to the car
He opened the door for me and secured my seat belt
He entered his seat and soon we drove off

I looked outside the window wondering what kind of people am going to meet
I'll have to fake smile all through the event
This is going to be one hell of a night

We have been driving in the car for about an hour in an uncomfortable silence
Xavier's cough brought me out of my thoughts
"We are almost approaching there" he said
I just nodded my head
"Words princess" he said
"Okay" I said simply why is he getting angry suddenly
"We need to go over some rules" he said and I looked at him with confusion
"Rules?" I said
