3. small talk

Peridot had run out the door and slammed it behind them, looking around to see if turquoise was in view, spotting him quite distant. They ran down the steps yelling his name

Turquoise turned round to see Peridot running towards him, raising his hand above his eye to shield it from the sun

"What on earth?"

Peridot caught up to him breathing heavily and putting their hands on they're knees unable to speak
Because of their breathing

"Hey, hey," Turquoise took his bag off and rummaged in it to take out an inhaler

Turquoise kneeled down and put the inhaler in Peridot's mouth to help their breathing

Peridot's breathing eased, and they open they're eyes

"Thanks," Peridot says as their breathing continues to ease

"Why were you running at me?" Turquoise stands up

"The others suggested I ask you out on a date..." Peridot adjusts their glasses

"Sure," Turquoise smiles

"Do you want me to pick you up after college? Or you can go get your stuff and i can drive you there and pick you up?" Turquoise asks

"Sure saves me getting the bus," Peridot thinks

"Go get your stuff. I'll wait here," Turquoise puts his bag back on

"Alright..."Peridot says

"YES!!!" Peridot thinks to herself

Peridot walks up to the door and opens it to see everyone peaking

"Do you mind?" Peridot blushes

"DID HE SAY YES?" Amethyst asks

"Why do you wanna know?!" Peridot says, embarrassed

"You're avoiding the question." Garnet smiles, looking down at Peridot

"...he said yes.." Peridot mumbles

"Ugh, here's your 20 Garnet." Amethyst passes Garnet a 20 dollar bill

"Thank you."

"You guys had a bet!" Peridot says, shocked

"Yep." Garnet nods

"You guys are embarrassing." Peridot starts to go upstairs

"Where are you going?" Pearl asks with a raised eyebrow

"Turquoise offered to drop me off at college and pick me up afterwards," Peridot explains, leaning on the bannister

"How chivalrous?" Pearl says

"Ugh...." Peridot groans as they continue walking upstairs to their room

Peridot gets into some proper clothing and grabs their alien shaped bag and heads downstairs to see Garnet on the base of the stairs arms crossed

"Can I help you?" Peridot

"Be careful. I can tell he's a good one," Garnet smiles

"I know... thanks," Peridot smiles

"Here, some cash in case he needs fuel, guys love it when they're date offers to help with they're car" Garnet says, putting some money in Peridot front pocket of their dungarees

"I have money," Peridot says, flustered at Garnet's action

"Still, take it," Garnet's smiles

"You aren't gonna do something about your hair?" Amethyst asks teasingly
