5. just getting to know you

Turquoise sat in his car, his head in his hands seemi troubled

"Why can they just leave me alone!" Turquoise slammed his hands into the dashboard of his car

Suddenly, his phone goes off again. The name "Father (ex-mom)" illuminated on the screen

"Screw this... Hello?" Turquoise picked up the phone and put it on speaker

"Turquoise. You haven't returned any of your mothers calls." A strong punctual voice said

"Wow, not even a hello or a how have you been or how about Hey I'm sorry for ruining your childhood and never letting me do what I want to do," Turquoise said with a raised tone

"I sense some agitation in your tone." The punctual voice said

"Screw you!...Say hi for mom for me," Turquoise hung up

"Fuck..." Turquoise leaned back on the chair

Later Turquoise was in the college car park exactly when he said he would sitting on the front of his car waiting for Peridot

He looks at this phone and multiple notifications one after another

"Clearly me not looking at any of your messages means that I don't want to talk" Turquoise said to himself

He looks up to see Peridot walking towards him

"Busy day?" Turquoise asks

"Like you would not believe" Peridot sighed taking their bag off and relaxing their shoulders

"Here. Got you coffee, lactose free" Turquoise hands Peridot a cup of coffee

"Oh my stars your a lifesaver!" Peridot takes the coffee and takes a sip

"So, what's your idea for this date? Turquoise stands up off his car

"I...have no idea" Peridot says embarrassed slightly covering their face with the cup

"Hmm, wanna go back to the Beach House and watch a movie?" Turquoise asks

"As long as the others won't mind" Peridot hands Turquoise their bag

"I have a TV in my room" Turquoise points out

"That might be favourable..." Peridot sips her coffee

Turquoise goes round to the rear of his car and puts Peridot's bag in the trunk/boot of the car

"Get in, let's get some food before we head...you know any good places to eat?" Turquoise asks opening the door for Peridot

"There's a pretty good donut place" Peridot says getting into the car

"Hmm" Turquoise walks round the car and gets in

Turquoise shimmies his hoodie off and places it behind his seat revealing all the scars along his arms and shoulders

"Right." Turquoise starts the car

Peridot studies Turquoise scars intently

"It's rude to stare..." Turquoise blushes

"Sorry!" Peridot says startled and bringing them back to reality

"I know you don't like physical contact but you can touch them if you want..." Turquoise looks at his left arm

"Sure...!" Peridot grumbles and tries to hide their excitement

Turquoise begins to drive while Peridot studies his left arm

"What happened to your knuckles?" Peridot says looking at Turquoise scarred knuckles
