Nightmare left to deal with his own matters. Leaving Cross alone.

Cross stood still for a moment, thinking to himself before he turned to met Inks gaze.

"Um, Ink?"

Ink jumped. He seemed to have been in a daze himself.

"Yes, your Grace?"

"Do you perhaps know if theirs any books about.... the constellations w-with their directions and it's origins?"

Ink thought for a moment before a little light bulb went off in his head.
"I believe we do, we could check the library, and if none of those are to your liking, then I'd be more than happy to order you some."

Cross was happy with that, immediately nodding.

                                ••••

'Both these books look good.'

He looked between the two, smiling.
"This should do Ink, thank you!"

"You're welcome, your Grace."

Taking both books in his hands, they both walked out of the library and to his bedchambers.

Taking advantage of the fact he had. A balcony, he sat down and placed both books on the table of the balcony.

Ink stood a few feet away from him as he started reading one of the two books.

It was a nice day out. It wasn't burning hot. The temperature was just right.

Who knows how long he was out there, maybe hours before someone opened the door to the room. Cross didn't seem to notice, but Ink certainly did.

"Evening, you Grace."
Ink greeted the taller.

That brought Cross out of his little world and turned his head to see Nightmare had entered the room.

He immediately got up, closing the book and placing it on the table.
Ink excused himself out.

"M-My Lord."

"Cross, dearest."
Nightmare walked up to him.
"I was searching for you."

"Oh, w-whatever for?"

The Lord cupped his cheek.
"I had some free time, so I thought we could go for a walk around the garden. If you want, that is."

'A walk?'

"Sure, that'd be nice."
Cross replied. Taking Nights hand in his.

                              ••••

Walking through the garden, Cross couldn't help but admire the roses. All these different types of flowers were either sprouting from the ground or growing on the bushes.

The grass was a rich green.

It was certainly a sight, a sight Cross hadn't ever witnessed till now.

The taller couldn't help but be amused. His partner seemed to be more... delicate, in a way.
It was adorable.

"Cross."

He caught the smallers attention.

"Yes?"

"I was thinking of perhaps redecorating a few rooms, and I was wondering if I could get your opinion on it."

"You want m-my opinion."
Cross tilted his head. Nightmare nodded.

The smaller offered him a smile.
"I'd be happy too, my Lord."

The Lord couldn't help himself.
In all honesty, the other was so..adorable and fragile indeed.

Taking a quick look around to make sure they were alone before pulling Cross into a kiss.

Cross squeaked when it happened. It was uncalled for, but as quickly as it happened, he melted into it. Gently guiding his arms around Nightmares neck. Deepening the kiss.

The kiss continued for a few more minutes before they pulled away.
Cross whined, feeling the other plant kisses on his neck.

"M-My Lord- were s-still outside."
Cross panted out, blushing a deep purple.

Nightmare pulled away slightly. Cross met his gaze.
"Im sorry."
Placing a kiss on his husband's cheek.
"You're just... beautiful and enduring."

Cross' blush Deepened.
'I-im what..'
No one's ever referred to him as 'beautiful' or enduring. He was usually a waste of space, wasn't he?

"Really...I-i am?"
The smaller questioned.

Nightmare nodded, deciding to tease the other.
"Look at you." He pulled Cross closer.
"Dressed to perfection just for me."

Despite the other being so kind, Cross was still embarrassed, hiding in the man's chest.

"D-dont say it l-like that!"

Nightmare cackled. Petting his skull.
"How else am I supposed to say it, sweetheart?"

Cross merely whined.

Nightmare bumped their foreheads together.

'You're beautiful....'
