"Oh you can't speak now huh?" Trey chuckled, eyeing Robyn through the rearview mirror. "I got yo tea.  Ain't that what y'all girls be saying nowadays?" He stopped at the red light, sinking into his seat.

Another chuckle escaped from his lips but Robyn didn't find anything funny. She was trying to keep her cool and not give Trey the satisfaction of a dramatic reaction.

"I don't know what you're talking about," she shrugged nonchalantly, opening up her voice memos app and pressing record.

"Cut the bullshit," Trey scoffed, pressing on the gas once the light turned green. "The photos sent to Principal Jordan say otherwise," he pulled his trump card, wanting to see Robyn coil in the backseat.

Robyn narrowed her eyes at him, finally putting two and two together. It was all starting to make sense now. She just couldn't understand why Trey cared so much. "You got bigger fish to fry sir.  You're going to prison and those charges will haunt you for the rest of your life. Priorities are fucked," she spat, her face expressing pure disgust.

"I have a proposition for you," Trey unzipped the black bag next to him, revealing wads of cash. "There's fifteen bands in this bag. It's all yours no strings attached if you agree to report Chris to the authorities about what happened to you three years ago. I'm sure this money will take away some of the daily stresses you deal with being a single mom," his eyes met Robyn's through the rear view mirror.

Robyn felt frozen in time as her eyes remained fixated on the money before her. She couldn't believe what she was hearing right now. $15,000 would definitely alleviate her financial burdens. But like her grandmother had once told her, all money ain't good money. "You can keep your money. Besides I have nothing to report," she cleared her throat.

Trey stale faced her, becoming annoyed that his plan wasn't playing out the way he'd imagined in his mind. "I don't get why you're protecting him. This man ruined your life. Stuck you with a baby and you went three years not knowing what really happened to you. I feel like you deserve some justice for what happened to you. Besides I know the truth. I was there. I was the one who noticed the chemistry between y'all and pressured Chris to give you the drink. He was the only one holding out. Even after I spiked the drink, he hesitated to give it to you, but you were already fucked up, you took that shot straight to the head and it was a done deal after that," Trey cracked his knuckles no signs or guilt or remorse on his face.

The way he talked about his predatory behavior sent chills down Robyn's spine. She didn't know whether to be scared, disturbed, or both.
