"Wow this place is beautiful."
Jermaine watched as his mother Kay looked around the luxury hotel, utterly enamored with its opulent settings. He couldn't blame her. It was one of the nicest places they had stepped foot in, in a long time.
"It is nice," Jermaine nodded in agreement, feeling out of place. He was surrounded by people who wore designer clothes, drove expensive cars, and held prestigious careers. He looked down at his worn out clothes and shoes, suddenly feeling self conscious.
"Is Yara gonna meet us down here?" Kay questioned, once she returned to Jermaine.

"Yeah I'm calling her now," Jermaine held the phone to his ear, waiting for her to answer. After a few rings, she did answer.
"I'm heading down now. The elevator is going past the 6th floor," Yara rushed out, sounding out of breath.
"It's no rush," Jermaine reassured her, noticing how winded she sounded. "Are you good?"
"Yeah I just had to get away from my mother. She's already working my nerves," Yara rolled her eyes in annoyance.
