Chapter 41: At Bay (Valaries PoV)

As it was that we had in fact all seemed to have talked about it. As it was that we had tried to avoid it for a while. But I knew that at some point it would be brought up again.
That was when it was that Cole did in fact seem to dip his head low. As he had a bit of some guilt on his face. As if he felt like all of this was some how his own fault, at that.
I perhaps thought for a split second, that he could have said some thing to have pushed it. But at the same time too, I also knew that he just felt bad, at that. As it was that I then did in fact just seem to speak to my self, all at the exact same time too.
"He will be fine... We all will..." I did in fact just seem to tell my self. As it was that I did in fact just seem to shake my head a bit. Just as soon as it was that I had said as to just what it was that I had even said.
Just as soon as it was that it had in fact just been the case. In the end, I did in fact just seem to wake my self up. And I then did in fact just seem to get up from my chair, all at once.
Just as soon as it was that I had done as such a thing like that. That was when it was that I saw Upton lift his head up to me, at that. As it was clear that he did in fact seem to be worried about me for what ever reason.
As it was that he had seemed to have looked me right in to my eyes. In the end, he also then began to start to speak to me. As it was that I did in fact listen as to just what ever it was that he felt like he had to say.
"What's going on? Where are you going Valarie?" He did in fact just seem to say to me, at that. As he had his eyes wide, and he did in fact almost seem to be afraid that I was leaving.
I was a little bit lost and confused as to why it was the case. As it was that I did in fact just seem to blink my eyes a few times. As it was that I then also began to go and speak back to him, all at the exact same time too.
"I'm going to get some fresh air on the upper deck..." I said to him. As it was that I did in fact just seem to look at him for a bit more time. Before it was that I then also began to squint my eyes at him. And I then began to continue to go and speak to him. "Is that okay? Or is it not?"
I did in fact seem to say it in a little bit of a mocking tone. As I kind of wished that I had not done so. Though I felt like I was a bit annoyed that it felt like he was acting like my parents.
As it was that I had in fact just seemed to have thought on that. In the end, he then did in fact seem to have a guilty look on his face. As it was that he did in fact seem to dip his head a little bit low to the ground.
Every one else at the table seemed to be lost with what was going on. As I felt like there was a fair reason for them to be that way. As it was that Upton did in fact seem to go and speak back to me, at that.
"No... You go do you... I'm just worried... That is all..." He did in fact just seem to say to me, at that. As it was that he did in fact also nod back to me just as he had said that.
As soon as it was that it had in fact just seemed to have been the case. I then did in fact just seem to blink my eyes a few times. And I then did in fact begin to go and speak back to him, all of the sudden.
"Well... Than I would like to be excused... See you all later I suppose..." I did in fact just seem to say. As it was that I had said that last part, to remind Upton that we were not alone at the table, at that.
Just as soon as it was that I had said what I had said. That was when it was that I saw that every one turned their heads away. And I then did in fact just seem to do the same, all at the exact same time too.
Just as it was that I was in fact about to walk away. I heard one last voice say my name, at that. As it was that I turned my head back, to see that it was Cole he was talking to me.
"Good luck Valarie... Call me up if they need any help..." He did in fact just seem to say, all at once. As it was that he did in fact have a serious look on his face as he said so.
As it was that he had said as to just what he had said. That was when it was that I then did in fact just seem to blink my eyes. And I then did in fact begin to go right on ahead and start to speak back to him, as well.
"Thank you... I will do so..." I did in fact just seem to say. As it was that I did in fact turn my head away. Just as soon as it was that I had in fact said as to just what I had said.
As soon as it was that it had in fact just been the case. In the end, I did in fact just seem to continue. And I did in fact go and head up the steps, all at the exact same time too.
I knew that Cole had done enough as it was already. As I knew that he had done the most out of all of us. But he still seemed to act like he was feeling bad, and that he was some how not doing enough.
I kind of rolled my eyes, as it was that I headed up the steps. As it was that I did in fact also seem to speak to my self. Just as soon as it was that I had in fact reached the top.
"I guess he's just a really good guy..." I did in fact just seem to say. As it was that I did in fact feel like what I had said was true. Even though I knew most guys that did what he did, were doing it to look good to others.
Cole how ever, he seemed to truly be a good heart, at that. As it was that I did in fact just seem to smile at the thought of that, all at once. As it was that it did in fact make me feel better about the people I was around.
Just as soon as it was that I had in fact been that kind of way. In the end, I did in fact just seem to all of the sudden hear the voice. Of what seemed to be Zander, as he was moving the mast right now.
"It's a nice day out isn't it Valarie?" He did in fact just seem to say to me. As it was clear to me that he was doing some light talk. Just to get a bit of a conversation started, all at the exact same time too.
I felt like I wasn't really in the mood for any of it right now. But I also kind of figured that I might as well comply. As it was that I then did in fact just seem to go and speak back to him, all at the exact same time too.
"Yeah... I guess we have been luck this entire time... I thought that it rained..." I did in fact just seem to say. As I knew that I remembered being told stories of typhoons and hurricanes.
As it was that I had in fact just seemed to have thought on that. In the end, I did in fact just seem to wake my self up a fair bit. And I then did in fact just seem to simply nod back to Paul, just as I had said that.
As it was that I knew that it was more directed to him. Than it was to Zander, all at the exact same time as well. As it was that Paul did in fact seem to have his eyes grow wide, just as it was that he had seen me do that.
"Well... It rains a lot to be honest... We just have gotten lucky that we haven't had to deal with it on your journey... Because when there's a storm... It can get really bad..." He did in fact just seem to say.
Just as soon as it was that it had in fact just been the case. In the end, I did in fact just seem to wake my self up a fair bit. And I then did in fact begin to go and simply nod back to him, all at the exact same time too.
I shivered at the thoughts of what it was that he had said. As it was that I knew that I had seen some movies. Of what it was like when there was a ship on the ocean during a storm.
As it was that I had in fact just seemed to have thought on that. That was when it was that I did in fact begin to hear the voice of Zander. As it was that he did in fact just seem to go and speak up him self, at that.
"But I trust that we will be okay... I have faith in it..." He did in fact just seem to say to Paul, all at once. As it was that he did in fact just seem to look at Paul, just as it was that he had in fact said as to what he had said.
Just as soon as it was that it had in fact just been the case. In the end, I then did in fact begin to start to hear the voice. Of just what it was that did in fact seem to be Paul, as he spoke back to Zander, at that.
"Well... This boat has been through some pretty rough storms... So I am sure that it will hold... This isn't my first time on the ocean... But for you all... It is... And I will need some help..." He did in fact just seem to say, all at the exact same time too.
Just as soon as it was that it had in fact just been the case. In the end, that was when it was that I did in fact wake my self up. And I then did in fact just seem to nod a little bit, all at the exact same time too.

"I hope that is the case..." I did in fact just seem to say to my self quietly. As I did my best to act as calm as I felt like I could do in the mean time. As in the end, I did in fact just seem to get my mind and my focus off of every thing else, at that.
Just as soon as it was that it had seemed to have been the case for me. I then did in fact just seem to breathe in quite a bit of a rough sigh to my self. And I then did in fact just seem to stare out in to the ocean, at that.
The tides seemed to be calm for the most part, at least as far as I could tell, at that. As it was that I did in fact feel like every thing was going to be okay, at that. So long as we had faith, just as it was that Zander had said.
I still was not all too sure about all of that religious stuff. But I still felt like it was better to think positive over negative. As it was that I did in fact begin to speak to my self, just as I had thought on that.
"Maybe that's why I like Upton so much..." I did in fact just seem to say, all at once. As I knew that he did in fact like me as well. Though for what ever reason, he seemed like he was scared to make a move.
As it was that I had in fact just seemed to have thought on that. I then began to realize that was also why he was so protective of me. As it was that I did in fact just seem to look back to the stairs, at that.
It was almost as if it was that I was waiting for Upton to show his face. Except for the fact that it just didn't seem to be the case. As it was that I did in fact just seem to be staring there for no reason.
As it was that I had just seemed to have stood there and stared for just a little bit longer. In the end, I then began to hear the voice of Zander. As it was that he then did in fact begin to speak to me, all at once.
"So... What do you have your thoughts on right now Valarie?" He did in fact just seem to say to me. As it was that he was right behind me just as it was that he had said that. As it was that I did in fact just seem to turn my head around to him, at that.
Just as soon as it was that I had in fact done as such a thing like that. And I had in fact noticed the big smile that was in fact on his face. That was when it was that I then did in fact begin to simply go, and let out a soft sigh.
Just as soon as it was that I had done as such a thing like that. I then felt a little bit scared to admit my feelings to Zander, though I knew we were good friends. As it was that I did in fact just seem to speak back to him, all of the sudden.
"I... I don't know to be honest..." I did in fact just seem to say. Though I did in fact just seem to gulp at what it was that I had said. As it was that I knew that I had in fact just lied to my friend, all at the exact same time too.
I felt a little bit of guilt just as it was that I had felt that way. As it was that I did in fact notice that he had seen the look on my face. As it was that he did in fact squint his eyes at me, just as it was that he had noticed so.
As it was that he had seemed to have done as such a thing like that. And I had done my best to act as calm as I felt like I could do. That was when it was that I then did in fact begin to simply go and hear him speak back to me.
"Look... Lenore and Amelia are going to be okay... You don't have to worry about them... They will kiss and make it up so to say..." He did in fact just seem to say to me, all at once. As it was that he had his eyes wide, just as it was that he had said that to me.
Just as soon as it was that it had in fact just seemed to have been the case. I then did in fact just seem to blink my eyes, at that. As it was that I then did in fact also just seem to go and laugh back at him, as well.
He seemed to be a bit surprised and a bit confused why I had done so. As it was that he then did in fact just simply blink his eyes a few times. And I then did in fact just seem to simply speak back to him.
"No... It's nothing like that at all... It's just... I have my thoughts on some one... That's all..." I did in fact just seem to say, all at once. As it was that I did in fact do my best to keep my self calm just as I had said that.
As soon as it was that it had in fact just seemed to have been the case. And I did in fact just seem to stand there and stare for some time. I then did in fact just seem to feel Zander pat me on my back.
Just as soon as it was that it had in fact just been the case. In the end, I did in fact just seem to simply smile back at him. Just as soon as it was that he then did in fact begin to speak back to me, all at once.
"Let me guess... It is Upton?" He did in fact just seem to say to me. As it was that he had his eyes wide just as it was that he had said that. As it was that it did in fact almost seem like it was a lucky guess.
My eyes did in fact also just seem to grow wide, all at once. As it was that I felt like I couldn't help but to be a little bit surprised my self. Just as soon as it was that I then did in fact just seem to stare.
And I then did in fact begin to simply go on ahead and nod back to him. As it was that I felt like there was no use and saying it wasn't the case. As it was that I then did in fact begin to simply go and speak back to him, all at the exact same time too.
"Ye... Yes... How did you know that?" I did in fact just seem to say. As it was that I then did in fact just seem to say that to him. That was when it was that he had a bit of a smirk on his face, all at once, at that.
As it was that it had in fact just seemed to have been the case. I did in fact do my best to act as calm as I felt like I could do in the mean time. As it was that I then simply began to go and see him nod back to me.
I was still quite a bit lost by all that was in fact even going on. As it was that I did in fact do my best to act as calm as I felt like I could. As in the end, I then did in fact begin to hear him once again speak back to me.
"Well... It is hard to tell... But I can still see you staring at him... It's almost like you are addicted to him..." He said with a smug look on his face. As it was clear to me that he was picking at me, all at the exact same time too.
As it was that I had in fact just seemed to have heard him say that. I then did in fact immediately begin to get in to defense mode, at that. As it was that I then did in fact begin to simply go and speak back to him.
"I am not addicted to him! Stop it Zander!" I did in fact just seem to say, all at once. As it was clear to me that with what I had said. It had in fact got the attention of Paul, as he seemed to be worried, at that.
I hadn't meant that to be the case what so ever, at that. As it was that I knew that I needed to tone down. As it was that I wanted to just keep it a secret between us, at that.
As it was that Paul had in fact just seemed to have looked away. In the end, I then did in fact hear the voice of Zander. As it was that he then did in fact just seem to speak back to me, all of the sudden.
"Come on... We have been friends for long enough... I know you well enough at this point Valarie... I know that you like the guy..." He did in fact just seem to say to me, all at the exact same time as well, at that.
Just as soon as it was that he had said as to just what he had said. That was when it was that I felt like I couldn't help but to blush a little. As I did my best to act as calm as I felt like I could do as it was still.
Just as soon as it was that it had in fact just seemed to have been the case. In the end, I then did in fact just seem to wake my self up. And I then did in fact begin to simply go and speak back to him, once again.
"Yes... I do like him a little bit... Just don't go telling people about it... I don't know if he likes me... Surely with the way that he is, he would have told me at this point..." I did in fact just seem to say to him, at that.
As it was that I had my eyes wide just as it was that I had said that. As I knew that Zander had told Mille several times before. As to the fact that he did in fact like her a lot, all at the exact same time as well.
I knew that Millie had rejected him time and time again. But still, I felt like Upton would have told me at this point, at that. As it was that I did in fact seem to dip my head low to the ground in some worry, and some doubt.
Just as soon as it was that it had in fact just been the case. In the end, Zander then did in fact just seem to roll his eyes at me. As it was that he then did in fact begin to speak back to me, all of the sudden.
"Well... No... And hell, he might not like you like that yet... We have only been talking to them for a few weeks... Remember that..." He did in fact just seem to say to me.
Zander had his eyes squinted at me just as he had said that as well. As I knew that he did in fact have a very fair point on what he had said. As it was that I did in fact just seem to simply nod right back to him.
I did my best to try to stay as calm as I felt like I could, all at once. As it was that I then did in fact just seem to start to simply spell back to him. As it was that I did in fact still seem to have my head a bit low to the ground.
"Alright... Take it slow... Got it... You are the best person to get advice from..." I did in fact just seem to say. As it was that it was quite a bit sarcastic as to just what I had said.
Zander simply just let out a bit of a heavy sigh. As it was clear that he had not taken that to heart. Which I was glad that he hadn't, as I knew that what I had said was rude.
As it was that I had just seemed to have stood there and stared. And I just seemed to continue to have my eyes wide for some time. I then did in fact eventually hear the voice of Paul go and speak up, at that.
"Alright... We are going to be going towards a sea side town... I could use some help from the others getting the ship at bay..."
