As I helped Kai browse the store I couldn't help but feel something. Why'd Kai make me feel this way? I had a strong urge to help him. Why was he different?

"So lets start with cleansers shall we?" I show him the different cleansers the store provided. From his expression, he looked overwhelmed. "How about I understand your skin type first. Is it oily? Is it dry? Is it sensitive?" I ask him to narrow down the options. He replied, "Uh.. I think my skin is dry? Yeah I think it's dry." "Mind if I take a look?" I asked him. "What.. uh yeah.. sure.." he responded. Judging from his reaction he was a bit timid. I removed his mask and leaned in closer examining his skin. We were quite close in proximity. My eyes met his and we looked at each other. I quickly regain my thought and back away. "Yeah from what I see, your skin type is dry." "I'd recommend cleansers that are hydrating and nourishing for your skin such as these!" I point to some cleansers that have hydrating and beneficial factors. He looked at them before asking, "Uh.. do you know which one I should get..?" "Hmmm.. from my opinion, I like this one," I pointed to a cleanser in a white bottle, "I'm currently using this one and it helps with my dry skin." I smile at him. "I have the same skin type as you, it's dry but this cleanser actually helps keep my face hydrated." I saw him nodding and he replied, "Since you're the professional, I guess I'll get this one." He smiled shyly. "Hehe! Good choice! Lets get you a moisturizer now." We walk over to the moisturizers and this time he seemed to feel more comfortable. "Umm since we have the same skin type could I know the same moisturizer that you use..?" he asked. "Oh yeah! Of course. Here!" I grab the moisturizer that I used and handed it to him. "I use this on because it feels nice on the face and it maintains my skin's moisture." I smile at him while waiting for a response. "Oh that's really nice to know thank you for the recommendations. Do you have anything that could help with my acne?" he asked. I responded, "Well I'd recommend pimple patches as well as serums or you can use retinols which help speed up the process." He looked overwhelmed again, maybe I said too much. "Well, since you're a beginner I think you should start slowly. So how about you start the daily cleansing process and return in a few weeks so I can see how your skin has adapted?" He nodded and we returned to the checkout area. After his payment was processed I packaged his items and placed them neatly in a small bag. "Hey Kai, if anything happens just text this number here." I handed him a note with my number I was worried for some reason. It felt like I didn't want to lose him. "Oh thank you again Y/N," he replied before leaving. As the door closed and as he walked away I couldn't help but be impatient. Would he ever return?
