Chapter 3: Personas

*3rd pov*

The scene changes to outside with fog then it shows a female body, hanging on the telephone pole.

*04/15 Fri. Early Morning*

Yu came down the stairs, looking at Dojima leaving. "Ah, you're up. Well, I'm off." Dojima left the house... "...Dad has to go to something. He got a call, so he left." Nanako explains, but she looks worried.

Yu walks to school, but stops to hear girls gossiping.

"When I looked, I saw three police cars zooming by." - Red umbrella girl.

"You live by the police station, don't you? Did you hear anything?" - White umbrella girl.

"I heard some yelling, but nothing more. Total disappointment." - Red umbrella girl.

"Geez, you need to pay more attention to stuff like that. How else are we supposed to get the juicy stories?" - White umbrella girl.

Yu hear sirens nearby... It seems there's been an incident...Yu decide to head to school.

*Afternoon*

"Hey... Did you see it yesterday?" - Rumor-loving girl

"Of course not... What, is that rumor for real?" - Long-haired girl

"I dunno, but it seems like a lot of people have seen it." - Rumor-loving girl

Yu overhears people gossiping about something. "Yukiko said she'd be here after lunch..." Chie put away her phone and turn to Yu, (Y/n), and Yosuke. "I wonder why they're holding a school assembly all of a sudden." Chie said. "My guess that it's something bad since I did hear police sirens." (Y/n) said, lifting her scarf to her face. (Like Gundham does with his scarf) Chie looks at Yosuke. "...Hey, what's wrong, Yosuke?" Chie asks. "Oh, it's nothing..." Yosuke said then goes quite. (Y/n) grabs Yosuke's hand and Yosuke squeezes (Y/n)'s hand.

"Everyone, please settle down. The school assembly is about to begin. First, the Principal has something to say." Ms. Sofue announced and step away, so the principal to talk. "I... regret to say that I have a terrible announcement for all of you. One of our third-year students, Ms. Saki Konishi of Class 3...has passed away." The principal announced, shocking them all. "Passed away...!?" Chie said in shock. "...." Yosuke doesn't say anything, but squeeze (Y/n)'s hand while she squeezes back.

"Ms. Konishi was found decreased early this morning... There reasons behind her passing are currently under investigation by the police. If they ask you for your cooperation, I urge you, as students of this school, to provide only the facts." All the students started to chatter. "All right, please quiet down... I have been assured by the faculty that there's been no evidence that bullying was involved in the incident. So mind what you say, not only to the police but to anyone who asks..."

"Found dead...? How could this happen...?" Chie questions then turns to Yosuke, but he's still doesn't say anything. The principal's address continues...

*Later*

Chie, Yu, and (Y/n) walk back to their class, but they hear girls gossiping.

"She died the same way as that announcer, right? That's so creepy..." - Rumor-loving girl

"Well, last time, it was from an antenna, but this time she was hanging from a telephone pole. It's gotta be a serial murder case..." - Girl's friend

"Someone said the cause of death was some unknown poison." - Rumor-loving girl

"Unknown...? C'mon, this isn't some sci-fi drama. Oh, by the way, did you hear? Someone saw a girl that looked like Saki on that Midnight Channel thingie. They said she totally looked like she was in pain. Isn't that scary?" - Girl's friend
