Alike ink spills from scrolls rolled & shelved
rains the teary drops of hope once beheld;

For Nature nourishes us, but we depredate it
as our glorious conquers etch trails of bereft.

Alike blossoms wilting in gloom, kneels God
despairingly afront his loveliest creation;

vowing retribution for actions depraved and
vile, so upon beings befalls ire rousing rue;

alike ink from quill's tip, at last drips prayers
from quivering lips of salvaged consciences.
