DANIELLE POV
I put Haerin on the passenger seat and buckle her up. She has calm down now and has stop laughing. Why would she embarrass me like that? I got the driver seat and take us home.
"I hate you, Danielle Marsh," I hear Haerin then a sniff. Is she crying? Indeed she is when I flash a look to her.
"Why do you hate me?" I ask.
"I hate how you're treating me. I know you don't like me but at least act like you do. I have never experience this before and you're taking advantage of me," I scoff at her and stop at a red light.
"You think I have experience this before? No. I'm just like you, but confused."
"Liar. Right when we first met, you knew my weakness. You discovered and you used it against me."
"I don't know what you're talking about," the light turns green so I start driving again.
"Exactly, you're a liar. I'm going to call my mom once we get home. I want to end this marriage."
"Like that'll happen."
I park in the garage then help Haerin out. She has stop crying now and is sleeping.
"Haerin, wake up," I whisper to her. She didn't wake up, so I carry her inside the house and up to her room.
I carefully set Haerin on the bed and fix the blanket on her. "I hate you," she mumbles.
"I know," I whisper as I wipe her tears.
"Please stay."
"I will," I sit on the edge of the bed and continue to look after her. "And I'm sorry."
The next morning I wake up and head to the bathroom. Haerin was already in there, puking. I knock on the door.
"Haerin, are you good in there?" I ask.
The sink water runs then I hear her voice. "Never been better," she unlocks the door, but can't get out cause I'm blocking her exit.
"You drank a lot last night. I'm glad you puked it all out."
"Yeah. Excuse me," she softly say. "I have to go get ready for practice."
"You're not going anywhere after that much drinking. Rest for a day. I'll be here with you," I genuinely care for her right now.
"No, I have missed a lot of days. I can't miss practice anymore."
I look at her and smirk. "Too bad I'm stopping you. If your manager or whoever you practice with calls, I'm telling them you're not coming today."
Haerin sigh then nods. "Okay, you win. Like always." I step away and let Haerin exit the bathroom to her room.
Taking cautious that she doesn't slip out while I'm in the bathroom, I let the bathroom door open as I pee, wash my face, and brush my teeth. After finishing, I went to her room. She was brushing her hair. Haerin look at me through the mirror.
"You're acting strange," she said.
"You confessed a lot last night," I chuckle. Her face went completely shocked.
"I,I"
"You don't have to say anything," I went to stand behind where she sits. "I'm glad that you were drunk," we both look at each other through the mirror.
Her phone ring and I take it before she can.
"You're speaking to Danielle," I answer.
"Danielle, give it back," Haerin tries to reach for her phone.
"Oh hey, Danielle. I was wondering if Haerin coming," it's a man's voice, so I believe that this is her manager.
"She will not."
"That's a bummer. I miss her," that line hits something in me. I glare at Haerin who looks scared.
"Who are you," I ask coldly.
"Jay, Haerin's ballet partner and much... More," I clench my jaw and end the call. My breathing is heavy and my blood is boiling.
"You need to give me answers now!" I said through my gritted teeth.
"What? Who called?" She ask dumbly.
"Jay, who is he to you?" I slip her phone in my back pocket.
"She's my partner for a upcoming event."
"And I bet it's more than that, otherwise you wouldn't go to practice that early or come home very late!"
"That is not true!" She yells back. Her breath shakes. "There's nothing between us and if you think there's something, well you're wrong. Jay have attempted to make his moves, but I shut him down. If my choreographer let me have a choice then I will have get rid of him already!" Haerin shoulder bump me as she tries to leaves the room. I grab her hand to hold her back. "Let go!"
"You better be telling the truth because I'm not a person you can feel comfortable lying to," I let go of her hand and be the one to leave her room.
Danielle slam the door shut which made Haerin jump. Haerin can't believe what just happened. She stood up to Danielle and that made her scared. Now she knows why the public says that Danielle is a powerful person, not just in the work environment. Her heart is beating fast. Underneath the opening of the door was Danielle still standing outside. Something slide inside and it was her phone with a white screen. She slowly went to pick it up. The white screen was a notepad containing the words 'I'm sorry'.
Danielle couldn't believe what she did. Not only she show Haerin a side Haerin has never seen before, but she felt jealousy. When Haerin defend herself, she actually believes Haerin.
Once she was out of the room, she instantly feel guilty. She pull out Haerin's phone and luckily, there isn't a passcode. She blocked Jay's number then pull out the notepad to write that she's sorry. She slip it under the door then went downstairs to make breakfast.
