"When I saw your face, I fell in love. It took a minute girl to steal my heart tonight."

CHAPTER 5.5 - STOLE MY HEART

And then he finished with a wink.

My jaw dropped to the floor. I couldn't believe what had happened. It definitely caught me off guard, and I could feel my cheeks blushing!

"Oh my god! Harry winked at me! Harry winked at me!" The girl behind me cried.

Well, directed at me or not, my heart jumped out of my chest after he did that.

It was as if...

As if...

He was trying to steal my heart.

But then I dismissed the idea.

It's just a song, Emma. I reminded myself.

I have nothing against their songs. In fact, it's all good. You could actually feel the intensity and meaning behind it. The energy and emotion was infectious. I found myself singing along and enjoying every moment.

Now I get why Bonnie and the others fangirl over these guys. Their songs could affect your emotions, and interestingly, you could somehow sense that they were meant just for you.

They are, without a doubt, remarkable.

I looked around at the people gathered here. Everyone's singing along with them. There were some screaming and dancing, and some just staring at them in awe. I wondered how many more concerts I would have to go to before I could be like them?

This was my second visit, though technically this was my real first. I wasn't focused when I first came here. Seeing Tommo at that stage and the fact that he's at the same university as me made me not really pay attention to any of their songs.

I was busy panicking.

That's not going to happen tonight. I'm going to listen to the whole thing this time.

The song was very catchy and really...

I was busy thinking when all of a sudden my eyes landed on Thompson who was fervently beating the drums. His hair was ruffled and glistening, probably from sweat. He had his eyes squinted in concentration. He had his chin tilted up and was biting his lip. He was in a state of pure bliss, totally immersed in the music. His movements were precise and his rhythm was perfect.

I felt my heart beating faster and the air stuck in my throat as I stared at him.

"Under the lights tonight you turned around, and you stole my heart with just one look, when I saw your face I fell in love. It took a minute girl, to steal my heart tonight."

...really spot on.

Shaking my head, I turned my attention elsewhere.

What is wrong with me? Why do I always feel that way when I look at him? I don't like this. I can't get the song out of my head. I feel like I'm being hypnotized.

Immediately after the song ended, I dragged Bonnie out of the ground in case she requested another song that could mess up my head again.

"All right Bonnie, let's go." I told her.

"Emma, what's up with the rush?" Bonnie laughed.

"Hey!" I heard Harry's voice over the microphone. The exit is only a few feet away, but I wasn't sure why I turned around and faced him. There was a smile on his face as he aimed his line of vision at our direction. "I'm glad you came."
