Fragrances, fragrances, fragrances. No. No, no, no! Especially in your skincare. Perfume or cologne is fine, though.

Fragrances may seem boujee or expensive, they aren't good for your face. Although it may appeal to your nose, it doesn't appeal to your face.

A lot of the times, using a fragrance and can cause what is called 'cosmetic contact dermatitis'. The literal definition is: "..an itchy rash caused by direct contact with a substance or allergic reaction to it. The rash isn't contagious, but it can be very uncomfortable. Many substances can cause this reaction, such as cosmetics, fragrances, jewelry, and plants." (Mayo Clinic).

As you can see this is really bad for your skin.

Also, "In fact, research has established that fragranced skin care products are among the most common causes of sensitizing, negative skin responses." (Paula's Choice).

One more thing, "Synthetic fragrances are made of chemicals that are not listed in the labels. These can be hormone disruptors and can cause allergic reactions too." (MyCocoSoul).

Natural fragrance can cause skin allergies and sensitization.

Hope this helps!
