My eyes peeled open to the sound of my alarm ringing hurting my ears. I groaned and turned it off

I don't want to do school today.

maybe I'll just skip?

Suddenly my door burst open and my little 10 year old brother Danny stood there

"Ivy! Can you drive to school please?" He begged

"Sure" I mumble

"Thank you, love you!" Danny smiled

"Love you too" I smile weakly as I slid out of bed lazily and walked into my bathroom

(A/N : I don't know if I mentioned in previous chapters if she had a brother but I think I did. Correct me if I am wrong!)

"Danny lets go!" I call standing in the hallway fiddling with my keys

Seconds later Danny came running down the stairs smiling

He's always so happy.

"Bye mum! Bye max!" He yelled

"Bye son" Max smiled kissing his head

I scoffed

"Good acting" I mutter rolling my eyes

"Bye Daughter" Max smiled walking over to me

"I'm not your daughter" I hiss

"Don't be like that" he said through gritted teeth

Suddenly he brought me into a hug, I stood there wanting him to get off! Now!

"Get.Off." I hiss in his ear so Danny didn't hear

Max chuckled lowly and punched me in the stomach

I gasped and yelped in pain

"Ivy what's wrong?" Max smirked pulling away

I forced one of them laughs, you know the 'I'm going to fucking rip you head off but cuz my brother is here and he likes you I want' laugh

(A/N : cuz everyone knows them laughs😂)

"Let's go Danny" I force a smile

He nodded and took my hand in his as we left the house

"Why did you cry in pain when Max hugged you?" He asked getting into the car

"He...stood on my foot" I lie as I drove off

I didn't want to tell Danny about Max vein abusive. For one it would scare and upset him also he doesn't need to know, as long as he doesn't do it to Danny! If he does..shit will go down!

"You look nice today" Danny complemented

"Aw thanks Dan" I grin

"Meet me here after school" I tell Danny as we walked towards the main school doors

"Okay, see you later" he said

I gave him a hug while we were at his locker before I walked away to my year block going to my locker

"Hey babe" Mason smiled

"Hiya" I smile pecking his lips

(A/N : it's been a week since their fight, guys btw)

"Have you seen Luke?" He asked as we walked to first period

"Why?" I ask quickly

"I was just wondering, I thought you were friends?" Mason replied confused
