~ chapter 12 ~

Bre couldn't even remember getting into bed, all she knows is she woke up with the worst headache. And the noise of a blender made it worse. So she did the best thing she could do, get on her bathing suit and head out to the ocean.

The weather was beautiful for an early morning swim, she wished she did one each morning but could already feel the Summer slipping away. Even the people she's met this summer will soon be a memory. Bre never understood family and love until this summer. The family she has which includes the Fishers may be the family she was destined to have.

The water felt like the headache was slowly leaving her body. After swimming around for a while Bre made her way back to the house. She saw all the rubbish bags stacked up and cleared them. She realised how messy the house gets and that Susannah should be resting throughout the summer and not cleaning up after everyone.

"Howdy" She heard Jere say from behind her.

"Hey" Bre said turning to see Jere.

"How are you this morning?" Jere asked.

"I'm fine" Bre answered confused.

"Okay. Just so you know the kitchen has a great view out to the sea, even the dock" Jere said winking before walking off.

Bre thought that was confusing what he said.

The morning went like a usual morning in Cousins, Bre sat reading by the pool then went and got ready for the dance class.

"Hey Bells," Bre said walking past her sitting in the Kitchen.

"Hey," Belly smiled.

"Did you ask Cam to the Deb?" Bre asked.

"Uh, I didn't get a chance. I sort of walked into Conrad in the shower, and I said something to Shayla" Belly said putting her head in her hands.

"What did you say to Shayla?" Bre asked, she truly didn't care about Belly walking in on Conrad as she'd done that to Jeremiah many times before.

"I told her that Steven and Taylor kissed at Nicole's party," Belly said taking a breath.

"Okay, so apologise to her. The only thing that could've been done differently is her hearing it from him not you. If they are together Steven has every right to tell her. Plus what it sounds like is you were drunk" Bre said pulling out the chair next to Belly and sitting down.

Belly looked up at Bre like she had done many times before. But it was the first time this summer Belly had cherished having Bre here.

"Have you asked Conrad?" Belly asked.

"I'm not asking Conrad" Bre shook her head.

"Oh, I thought I saw you guys last night," Belly said with a slight smirk on her face.

"Oh no, he doesn't want to go" Bre said, what happened last night and why can't she remember was all she could think.

"I'm gonna go get changed," Belly said going upstairs.

Bre could remember having one drink but that's all. Surely she didn't black out after one drink.

"Hey Bre" Conrad said walking into the kitchen and making a coffee.

"What happened last night?" Bre asked. She knew she would only find out from Conrad.

"You drank too many margaritas, so I ended up putting you to bed" Conrad said having his back facing towards Bre.

"Oh okay" Bre said even more confused.

"Did you go for a swim?" Conrad asked turning around with his coffee.
