Bre had found herself sitting outside in the garden by the pool. The summer breeze was coming in and she was waiting for her essay result to come in. Her laptop which was on the very last of its charge balancing on her legs.

"Thought you'd be out here" Belly said coming to sit next to her sister.

"Mmm, gonna miss this. The boys were saying about coming back on the fourth" Belly said taking in the sun as well.

"That sounds good" Bre sighed. She had a million things going through her head.

"When are you going back to California?" Belly asked pursing her lips. She didn't want her older sister to leave, especially after everything.

"Not sure, I was gonna ask if you wanted to join. I have to pack up all my stuff and move it into the new place so could use the help" Bre smiled, Belly hadn't visited her yet so Bre thought it would be good for the two of them.

"Mmm well I might be going to a Volleyball camp, plus I said to Jere about going back to Boston with him" Belly giggled, it was one of the first real smiles she'd seen on her face since they got back to Cousins.

"Don't let me hold you back" Bre laughed, the two girls were laughing to themselves when Finn slid open the back door interrupting their laughter.

Bre looked down at her feet the moment her eyes locked with Finn. She didn't know how to feel about him anymore.

"Can we chat?" Finn said sighing. Belly immediately got up to head inside.

"I'll be inside if you need me" Belly smiled before going back inside. Bre shuffled along so Finn could sit next to her.

"I wanna apologise..." Finn said taking a deep breath. He'd had a whole speech planned but Bre knew what she had to say.

"Look, I know you're sorry and you regret doing it. But it still hurts. I cried on your shoulder every night. You were the first person I called when I found out about Susannah, you were my best friend. No matter what happens you'll always be that" Bre took a deep breath and finally looked at Finn.

"I just want you to know how sorry I am" Finn replied.

"I know, you just got to prove it now. Like buying me ice cream every Friday" Bre laughed. The two teens had an actual conversation that didn't have Conrad or Susannah's name in for once. They spoke about the next year at college and spending more time by the beach.

Bre had been so caught up in her struggles she'd forgotten what it was to live.

"Bre, did you get your grade?" Conrad said coming out the back. He stopped in his tracks when he saw Finn.

"Oh shit, I haven't even checked" Bre said smiling looking up at Conrad. She patted the deck on the other side of her for him to come join.

Bre took a deep breath opening up her school account and seeing her inbox had two new emails in it.

She jumped up as soon as she saw that she had got a hundred on both which meant she'd gotten onto the course she'd worked all year for.

"YES" Bre said jumping up and down.

"I'm so proud of you Bre" Conrad smiled from where he stood. Now he realised he had to tell her he too had made it onto that but there was no way he was making it in time for his final.

"Thank you, Con" Bre smiled pulling him into a hug.

"Does that mean I don't have to buy you Ice cream anymore" Finn joked. Bre took this moment to shake her head.

"No way, you are supplying Ice cream for the foreseeable future" Bre smiled.

The three of them were so engrossed in celebrating they hadn't seen Belly, Jere, Steven and Laurel come out into the Garden.
