freedom

Dreary night, terrified I slept.
Promise to fight, hope for light,
that night I kept.
In silence, I made an escape plan,
Carrying a strong will, I know I can!

How long will I stay restricted?
How long will they punish me for the crimes I never committed?
How long will they cage me?
Watch me, as I run,
Run for a life to live, to breathe in open air,
To dream and achieve things I yearn,
The night's dark, shade which doesn't make me scare!
I can see the light, guiding me to be free.

Decades of planning and hundreds of attempts, I escaped.
From the tormented world they create.
Tortured, but I stood still,
Burning scars, I endured the pain,
Left it on time and nature to heal,
Examined the bright world as I walked down the road in every lane.

In the cold breeze I found solace,
This is my new home, my new place,
With freedom I live happily,
Let me Forget my past, weave my present, create my future beautifully!
