"Thank you for the lunch!" Tsuki screamed as she threw her bag over her shoulder and waved her hand at the (unofficial) couple in the car. The duo copied her action and waited for her to enter the building before starting the engine. As soon as the girl disappeared behind the revolving door, Somi finally freed a long sigh she didn't know was holding.
Mingi immediately turned his head to the passenger seat where she was sitting and rapidly checked her to verify her condition wasn't worsening or that she wasn't involved in another vision. The blonde woman had caged her head between her head and was staring at the tip of her shoes and the pads of her fingers were gently pushing the roots to unload, even if in tiny proportion, the anger and the sadness clouding her heart.
"No need for you to bother." She began, lifting the closest hand to Mingi and hanging it mid-air into a flat shape, displaying her palm to the male, who was utterly dumbfounded, "I'm a horrible friend, I don't even deserve to be called like that, to be honest." She raised her head and laid her weight on the elbows that were piercing her knees, "And, before you ask, I haven't told her the truth about Jongho and... Maybe I don't even want her to know."
Mingi sighed and wrapped his fingers around her hand which played as a barrier between them, "Somi... I get how you feel right now, however, I think it's better if she knows what is happening to her boyfriend. By lying, you're hurting her more."
The blonde girl shifted her body on the leather seat so that her knees were against the automatic transmission and enclosed the man's hands between hers, taking a moment to enjoy how soft his skin was, despite the scar on the patch of skin between the thumb and the pointer, probably caused by a cut. She couldn't deny that his words hurt her more than she thought, to the point where she started wondering what Mingi was thinking about her as a friend, was he secretly judging her decisions?
"You're right, Mingi." She stated before raising her head to look at him with a trembling chin, "I agree with you, but it's too late now. How do you think she'll react if I randomly come out with such a delicate topic like this?" The panic was quickly bottling in her chest as if she was actually living in the situation she was imagining as if Mingi was Tsuki, "She'll be livid if I confess that I've known where her boyfriend was all of this time. And it's already supposed to happen, by the way."
The man with blue hair was pensively staring at an undefined point in front of him, conceiving an idea of how to manage that situation. Surely, if he were in Tsuki's shoes, he wouldn't have been delighted to know that his closest friend, the one he could trust with his eyes closed, had been lying to him, notwithstanding he had asked about that argument over and over again and was aware of his sufferings.
He stretched his free hand to reach her cheek to caress it, "Let's think about this later, okay? How about we inform the other about your Déjà-vu? Maybe, they have any suggestion to help you with Tsuki."
Somi shook her head, "I can't, my shift starts at six and I need to get ready properly." She answered, pointing at her face with her finger and moving it into a circular motion to specify the face zone as the most critical one, implying that she needed to freshen up.
Mingi's facial features softened when he spotted how embarrassed the girl was feeling when she was indicating herself, even though he couldn't fully comprehend what was causing her to feel like that since everything he saw was beauty.
"You're beautiful." He murmured with a dreamy expression. When Somi's brain accurately analysed his words, it took a few seconds to ascertain he said what he said during which the car's cabin was filled with silence, she was left speechless and had no idea how to react. It was so sudden yet heart-warming that she could do nothing but flash him with the brightest and widest smile she had ever shown him. The more she stared at him, the more she was convinced he was temporarily in his own world, where unicorns were free to roam wherever they wished, the grass was purple, the clouds were made of cotton candy and lollipops had taken the place of the trees.
