"Hi" Jungkook breathed deeply into the phone.

Suddenly, my mouth goes dry and my brain fogs up. I don't know how to start the conversation. I don't even know why I called before thinking through what I wanted to say to him or what I even wanted to come from this conversation.

"Taylor?" He speaks up after a while.

"Y-yeah I'm here, sorry." I shake my head to get out of the slight daze.

"How was your day today?" he asked, warily as if scared to speak to me.

"Good, Malia and I went out to do some shopping. Just getting some stuff before we have to leave." I reply softly, not missing the way his breath hitched on the other end of the line.

If he had something to say, he held back and only hummed in response.

There was a silence that passed through us both, one that was painful to sit through. I felt the way the piece of his soul attached to mine slightly shook. Our bond telling me that my soulmate felt troubled.

"Can I see you?" He whispers after some time.

I sigh, "I don't know if it's a good idea to go to your hotel tonight. I don't really think it's a good idea to be around your friends right now."

"I can come to you." He says quickly.

"Jungkook, that's too dangerous."

"I can bring extra security." He presses.

"I still don't think it's a good idea."

"What if I get another room here?" He pleads with me.

"Jungkook" I say sternly.

"Taylor" He mocks back playfully.

"No" I say, sticking firm to my word. I'm not gonna let him go through the hassle of having to get another room just so he can meet me.

"Yes" he mimics again.

I groan at his insistence.

"You're pouting, Bella. I can hear it through the phone." He says, amusement dripping in his voice.

"Whatever but we're splitting the cost of the room."

"Taylor" He warns this time.

"Jungkook" I tease back.

He huffs.

"Hah, now who's pouting" I say with a smirk making it's way to my face, knowing fully that I've won this little battle.

He groans but agrees anyway. "I'll have Do-yun pick you up in .... 30 minutes?"

"Okay Koo."

"See you soon Bella" He chirps, sounding a lot brighter than when we started the call.

Do-yun comes exactly 30 minutes later and takes me to Jungkook's hotel, escorting me to the room he got for us. A room on the same floor as the room the other guys are in because any other floor would compromise Jungkook's privacy. Do-yun let me know that Jungkook would be over soon before he left the room, the door locking automatically once he took his leave. I scan the room, pacing around until I hear the sound of the door unlocking and the slight squeak as the door was being pushed open. My feet instantly feeling stuck in their place, the bond igniting a string of tingles down my spine at the close proximity of my soulmate. Our souls lighting up at having the other in reach. The door opens to a wide eyed Jungkook, our eyes immediately locking. The sparkle in his eyes coming to life, almost making me miss the way his eyes had a tint of red and his cheeks were puffy. Signs that he had been crying and my heart sinks into my chest. This was never what I wanted when I took some time away for a couple of hours. I step back, guilt hitting me like a train. I should've at least answered his texts.
