THIRD PERSON'S POV
Natasha stood in the living room, cradling her baby bump with a gentle, contemplative smile on her face. Steve stood nearby, his blue eyes reflecting his concern. In the center of the room, Y/N played with an assortment of toys.

"Y/N, sweetheart." Natasha's voice carried a soothing tone. "Remember, you need to be careful around Mommy's tummy. James will be here soon, and we want him to be safe."

Y/N, a vibrant ball of energy with tousled red hair and bright eyes, looked up at Natasha, her expression torn between curiosity and frustration. "But Mommy, I wanna play with you."

Natasha knelt beside her daughter, her hand resting protectively on her burgeoning belly. "I know you do, sweetie, but James is almost here. Mommy needs to be extra careful right now. How about we play a quiet game together?"

Y/N's face scrunched up in protest. "No! I don't like quiet games!"

Steve, standing nearby with an encouraging smile, chimed in. "How about we build a puzzle, Y/N? That can be fun too."

Y/N's lower lip jutted out in a pout. "No puzzles! I wanna play tag!"

Natasha exchanged a knowing look with Steve, her brows furrowing in concern. Ever since her pregnancy had reached its final stages, Y/N had become increasingly defiant and prone to tantrums.

As the day wore on, Y/N's tantrums only intensified. She knocked over a carefully constructed tower of blocks and wailed when Natasha gently scolded her. She refused to eat her lunch, insisting on a plate of cookies instead.

In the late afternoon, Y/N's frustration reached a crescendo. She flung her toys across the room, her face contorted with anger. "I hate James! I hate James!"

Natasha, her own patience fraying under the stress, couldn't hold back her reaction. Her voice rose in a burst of frustration. "Y/N, that's enough! You can't behave like this! You're being incredibly selfish!"

The words hung heavily in the air, the tension in the room palpable. Y/N's eyes widened in shock, her small frame trembling. Tears welled up in her eyes, and before anyone could react, another sharp pain shot through Natasha's abdomen.

Natasha gasped, clutching her belly. Steve's eyes widened in alarm, and he rushed to her side. "Nat, you okay?"

Natasha's breath came in ragged gasps as she struggled to stand upright. "M-My water broke. I think... I-"

With a surge of urgency, Steve guided Natasha to the waiting car, leaving a bewildered Y/N in the capable hands of Wanda.

Y/N's tear-streaked face was etched with confusion and fear as she watched her parents disappear from view. She turned to Wanda, her small body trembling with sobs. "Where's Mommy and Daddy?"

Wanda knelt down, wrapping her arms around Y/N. "They had to go to the hospital, sweetheart. Mama needs some help, and they'll be back soon."

Y/N's lower lip quivered, her tiny fingers clutching at Wanda's shirt. "But I'm scared."

Wanda's voice was gentle and reassuring. "I know it's scary, but your parents will take care of everything. And guess what? You and I get to have a sleepover tonight. We can have popcorn and watch your favorite movie."

Y/N's watery eyes met Wanda's, seeking comfort. "You promise?"

Wanda smiled warmly, wiping away a tear from Y/N's cheek. "I promise."

As Wanda held Y/N close, the sobs gradually subsided into sniffles.

The next day, Natasha and Steve returned home with James. As they walked through the door, they expected Y/N to come running to them with open arms, eager to meet her baby brother. But instead, she hung back, her eyes fixed on the ground.

Natasha's heart sank. She exchanged a worried look with Steve, both of them realizing that something was wrong. Natasha crouched down, her arms outstretched. "Y/N, baby, come here."

Y/N hesitated for a moment before she rushed into Wanda's arms instead, her tiny frame trembling.

Natasha felt a pang of sadness, but she understood. Y/N had been feeling neglected and anxious about the changes in their family dynamic. Gently, Natasha approached Y/N and Wanda, crouching beside them.

"Hey there." Natasha's voice was soft and tender. "I missed you."

Y/N sniffled, looking up at her mother with watery eyes. "You had a new baby, Mama."

Natasha nodded, her heart aching at the vulnerability in her daughter's voice. "Yes, we did. But you're still my special girl, Y/N. Just like before."

Y/N looked uncertain, her emotions still tangled. Natasha held out her arms, and after a moment, Y/N tentatively reached for her. Natasha pulled her into a warm embrace, feeling Y/N's small arms wrap around her tightly.

As they held each other, Natasha whispered, "You know, James will need a big sister like you to show him all the fun things in the world. And you're going to be an amazing big sister."

Y/N's tear-stained face brightened just a bit, and she nestled closer to Natasha. "Really?"

Natasha nodded, pressing a kiss to Y/N's forehead. "Really. And you and I can still have our special moments, just like before. How about we start with some cuddles and a story?"

Y/N's eyes lit up, and she nodded eagerly.

With a soft smile, Natasha said. "Let's go. How about we get you ready for bed before?"

Y/N nodded, resting her head on Natasha's shoulder as they ascended the stairs to Y/N's bedroom.

Natasha settled Y/N on the edge of the bathtub, filling it with warm water. Y/N's wide eyes followed the movement of the water, and she looked up at Natasha uncertainly.

"Mama, are you still mad at me?"

Natasha's heart ached at the insecurity in Y/N's voice. She knelt down, her eyes meeting her daughter's. "Oh, sweetie, no. Mama's not mad at all. I love you very much. In fact, I'm going to show you just how much."

As Natasha helped Y/N undress and placed her in the bathtub, Y/N couldn't help but giggle when she accidentally splashed water on Natasha. Her giggles turned into uncertainty as she noticed Natasha's raised eyebrow.

"Uh-oh."

Natasha's expression softened, and she couldn't help but chuckle. "You can splash all you want, baby."

Relieved, Y/N's face lit up, and she began splashing playfully.

After a bubbly bath, Natasha wrapped Y/N in a fluffy towel and carried her to the dresser. "Time to pick out your jammies."

Y/N's eyes sparkled with excitement. "Jammies?"

Natasha nodded, pulling open the drawer filled with pajamas. "What do you feel like wearing tonight?"

Y/N's gaze flitted over the choices before settling on a pair of pajamas featuring a familiar Barbie pattern. "Barbie Jammies!"

Natasha smiled and helped Y/N put on her chosen jammies. Once she was snugly dressed, Natasha tucked her into bed, pulling the covers up to Y/N's chin.

"Cozy enough, sweetheart?"

Y/N nodded, her eyelids growing heavy.

Natasha brushed a tender kiss on Y/N's forehead. "Night night, sweetheart. We'll read a story tomorrow, you must be exhausted."

As Natasha turned to leave, Y/N's sleepy voice piped up. "Mama?"

Natasha paused, looking back at her daughter.

"Love you."

Touched, Natasha's heart swelled with affection. "I love you too, sweet girl."
