Anuj came back home a little late. As soon as he entered, he felt Anu's prying eyes.
Anu thought: Jab se aaye hai pehli baar nazarein chura rahe hai, yun toh koi mauka nahi choddte ghurne ka. Kya huya hai..kahin Dimpy...
Anuj saw Kmaa was trying to fold and move the charpayi. He ran towards her and said: Arrey maa. Rukiye. Apke ghutno mein dard tha. Main krta hun.
Kmaa adored Anuj. All of a sudden, she noticed his hand was covered with a blood-soaked handkerchief.
Kmaa: Ye kya hua hai beta. Ye khoon kaise. Kya hua. Kaise hua.
Bhavesh and Anu dashed towards them.
Neither wants to lie nor to answer. Anuj sprinted upstairs: Nahi kuch nahi Maa bas gym gaya tha. Thak gaya hun. Bhookh nahi hai. Sone ja raha hun.
Kmaa: Arrey aise kaise Bhavess ja puch ke toh aa.
Anu, with an inner battle of anger and concern, said: Nahi manege Maa aur na hi kuch batayenge. Bhavess tu balm leja aur laga dena kaise bhi zyada kuch puchna mat abhi. Khana thode tame mein jab shaant honge khila denge.
Bhavesh and Kmaa both wanted Anu to go, but they also did not want to push Anu, even for a fraction of a second. So, Bhavesh followed Anu's suggestion.
Bhavesh: Jija ji main dawa laya tha aapke haath k liye.
Anuj: Arrry Bhavesh, sorry aap sab ko itna pareshan kar raha hun per mujhe abhi thodi daer kuch nahi chahiye.
Bhavesh: Agar aap dawa nahi lgayenge toh Maa, Anu, Mujhe sab ko aapki chinta lagi rahegi. Dawa lagwa lijiye aur bas thoda sa khana kha lijiye.
Anuj shook his head: Nahi Bhavesh, please. kuch bhi nahi please.
Bhavesh not wanting to stress him out: Jija Ji hum sab jaage huye hai jab bhi apko thoda theek lage mujhe awaz laga dijiyega. Main dawa laga dunga. Aapke dawa aur khaana khaaye bina hum mein se koi so nahi payega.
Anuj softened by this, looked down, and very slowly whispered: Anu lgaegi toh lagwa lunga.

Scene: The roof was soothingly lit by the moon's gentleness. A cool breeze was blowing. Mattresses were placed on the ground. Anuj was sitting down on the mattress against the wall. Face tilted and eyes closed. The hand was still covered with a handkerchief. Anupama's eyes welled up. A few tears betrayed her eyes, which were trying to keep the pain in control.
She sat near him and very softly whispered : Anuj Suniye Haath dijiye. He gazed at the view in front of him.
