My Only One (Prequel to Hello Again)

chapter 10 - happy birthday

I woke up first as it was early morning as today was Somi's birthday. I sneaked out of bed as she laid there as I replaced myself with a pillow as I went inside of the bathroom grabbing some clothes on the way as I quickly changed myself into my outside clothes as I went out the bathroom where I threw the clothes into the hamper as I made my way over to her

Y/N - I'll be right back honey.

I whisper to her as I kissed her forehead as I grabbed my keys and headed out the door

I make my way downstairs as I got on the bike and drove to a location given to me

After arriving there, I took off my helmet as I hooked it up to my bike as I put on my face mask as I entered the location

Chae - *yawn* Good morning Y/N

Y/N - good morning Chae

She takes off her face mask as she gave a big smile to me

Chae - aren't you going to take off yours?

Y/N - well. It's a bit more complicated

Chae - do tell please?

Y/N - just, anonymity reasons okay?

Chae pouts as we got up to the counter to order our food or drinks or what not

Y/N - it's on me today. What do you want?

Chae - mhmmm

The cashier just waits for Chae as she cutely did a thinking pose as she finally spoke

Chae - I'll take a strawberry croissant and a Iced Americano!

The cashier nods as she looked at me for my answer

Y/N - just an normal hot americano and I'll just take this

I give her a protein bar that I got from the counter as she rings it up

I give her my card as she tells us she'll deliver our drinks and Chae's croissant to our table

We nod as I open up the bar as she looks at me

Chae - surprising you even agreed to do this

Y/N - I know, it was your idea after all.

Chae - just. We'll collect it after we eat alright?

Y/N - after YOU eat

She lets out a little giggle as we waited around

Chae - it's nice of you to surprise her like this

Y/N - yeah.

Chae - she told me how you guys met, now aren't you quite the strong guy.

Y/N - did my time that's all

Chae - gym?

Y/N - military

Chae - oh.

Y/N - mmhm.

We get our orders in as I finish up my bar

Y/N - take your time.

Chae begins to dig in to hers as I just drink up my coffee after putting in some sugar and milk

Chae - so, what do you like about Somi so much?

Y/N - huh. I like how she's kind to me, she's beautiful and she treats me like a person. And she's the first person I made friends with here when I moved here.

Chae - you're not korean?

Y/N - Japanese.

Chae - oh. The J line would like you a lot.
