There were moments in life when you found yourself wishing you could turn back time, even if just for a fleeting few seconds. Jihoon was currently experiencing one of those moments. Exhausted from enduring the four lectures he had to attend today, he decided he needed a coffee to recharge himself. On campus, there were three cafés to choose from, yet somehow, he ended up at the one where Seungkwan, Seokmin, and Mingyu were lounging around together. As he walked in, he immediately felt a wave of regret wash over him. Jihoon wanted nothing more than to avoid any unnecessary social interactions at this moment, but here he was, stumbling right into the midst of his vibrant and energetic friends.
Just as he contemplated making a quick escape, Mingyu spotted him and called out, waving him over. Don't get him wrong; Jihoon loved them all dearly. However, he knew all too well that when this trio were together, chaos would follow. Despite often finding himself exasperated by their antics, he couldn't help but cherish their company. Their laughter was infectious, their ideas wild and unpredictable, turning mundane moments into extraordinary memories. Even though their mischief often put him on edge, Jihoon knew that these were the moments that filled his life with unexpected joy and vibrant colors.
"Hyung, do you have any funny memories from your preschool days?" Seungkwan asked with a curious smile. Jihoon simply responds with a puzzled, "Huh?" Seungkwan, struggling to control his laughter as Mingyu chuckled beside him, elaborated, "We're sharing our preschool stories. Seokmin mentioned he touched poop back then." Everyone in the room burst out laughing at the absurdity of the story, reminiscing about the innocent yet hilarious moments from their early childhood.
"Everyone has touched poop when they were little, didn't they?" Seokmin whined in his defense, trying to make his embarrassing childhood confession seem normal. "Well, so sad, 'cause we didn't," retorted Mingyu with a smug grin, giving a celebratory high-five to Seungkwan and Jihoon. Their trio's infectious laughter filled the room, casting a cheerful atmosphere that made Jihoon forget his previous exhaustion, at least for a while, as he joined in the lightheartedness.
"What about you, hyung?" Seungkwan interjected, drawing everyone's attention to Jihoon. "I don't remember much about my preschool days," Jihoon shrugged nonchalantly, his expression as indifferent as ever. Seungkwan exchanged a quick, mischievous glance with Seokmin, his eyes twinkling with a playful idea, before focusing back on Jihoon. "Then what about your high school crush?" he asked with a teasing smile, hoping to coax a more animated response from Jihoon and relieve any lingering awkwardness. However, Jihoon simply responded with another casual shrug, causing the younger boys to whine in playful frustration at his persistent unresponsiveness.
"Didn't y'all just talk about preschool? Why are you even interested in my crush anyway?" Jihoon remarked back playfully, carefully sipping on his steaming coffee while making sure not to hurt the younger's feelings. Seungkwan realized he wouldn't be getting any juicy details today and decided to move on. "Hey, I remember something," Mingyu jumped in with another of his childhood memories, his eyes lighting up with nostalgia. "There was this boy in my neighborhood...."
