Sin of the Void

Part 8

No POV 

We begin this chapter with Y/n as he awakens within the same realm from when he died last time. This time, he was seen waking up at the desk on the second floor. He looked around, confused to his whereabouts. That is, until he saw the whale outside the window and swimming within the void that this room floated around in 

???: "Welcome back" 

Hearing his voice, Y/n turned to the source and saw that the Outsider was standing by one of the bookshelves that were on the second floor, putting the book back into its original place before turning to face Y/n 

Outsider: "So it appears you've escaped the loop, for now that is, I suppose you would like an explanation to where you are" 

The Outsider then disappeared suddenly, only to reappear floating within the open space of the apartment between the two floors, his arms spread wide 

Outsider: "This place is to serve as your place of respite, to record your memories of this world so that you will always remember what happens should a loop reset, any questions?"

Y/n: "Too many to ask, but I'll start with the first; People who've seen my mark were able to recognize it, how?" 

The Outsider then crossed his arms and floated closer to the bannister, a small smirk on his face

Outsider: "I admit, I'm surprised people still know of me here, but to answer your question, you honestly didn't think that your world is the only one my influence has made its mark on, do you?"

Y/n: "I guess it makes sense that wouldn't be the case. Next question, how did we get here?" 

Outsider: "That's a tricky question, of course I know the answer, but I think it might be more entertaining to let you figure it out yourself. But I'll tell you this, I only brought you here, I had no hand in your dear little Subaki's involvement, that would be the work of someone else, who and why? You'll have to find out yourself"

This got a sigh from Y/n as he slowly got to his feet, only to be pushed back into the chair by an invisible force and then turned around to see an empty book with a quill and inkpot next to him 

Outsider: "Once you've recorded your memories, I'll send you off" 

With a roll of his eyes, Y/n then grabbed the quill and got to work with recording everything he's encountered in the past day. When he'd think about the people he'd encountered, he found his himself losing all control of his hand as it created an illustration of that person's face. When he finished, The Outsider took the book from the desk and ran his hand across the blank cover, creating the words "Loop 1" across it, before placing it upon an empty shelf 

Outsider: "Good, now, it's time you went on your way. You may access this place any time you wish, just simply think about it before going to sleep or opening a door, and you'll enter. Until next time, I'm looking forward to how good of a show you'll put on for me~" 

Y/n didn't even get a chance to say anything else as with a wave of the Outsider's hand, he collapsed onto the ground as everything went black

The scene then changed to show Y/n as he suddenly awoke with a gasp, finding himself in a completely new place back in the real world. Gone were the ruined remains of the Loot House, what he saw now was the clean and pristine architecture of a new building, he laid within a fancy and comfortable bed and wore pyjamas in replacement of his original clothes 

Y/n: "Where the hell am I?" 

Checking his abdomen, he found there was no signs of an injury, now doubt thanks to Emilia. It was then that he realized that since he was alone in the room, Subaki might be somewhere else within the house
