We begin this chapter picking up where we left off last time. Now we see everyone aside from the two maids seated at the table as they were about to enjoy their meal. Subaki and Emilia sat on one side, Y/n and Beatrice sat on the other thanks to the latter's insistence. While Roswaal sat at the head of the table and flanked by both of his maids

Y/n and Subaki both took a spoonful of their food and ate it. They were both pleasantly surprised at how delicious it was as they both looked at each other first with a smile on their faces

Subaki: "This is way better than normal food!" 

Y/n: "It reminds me of home"

Roswaal: "Mmm, despite her appearance, Rem's cooking is quite impressive" 

Subaki: "So this was cooked by the one with the blue hair? I think I got that right" 

Y/n: "If my memory serves me correct, that's true. The young lady with pink hair did call her Rem" 

Rem, the blue haired maid then spoke up, confirming their words

Rem: "Yes, that's correct. I'm responsible for all of the cooking in this household. My sister doesn't happen to be very good at cooking" 

Subaki: "Ah, so it's the Ol' twins that are good at different things trope, huh? So, your sister's good at cleaning then, I take it?"

Rem: "Yes, that's correct. My sister excels at housework chores, especially cleaning and laundry"

Subaki: "So that means while you're good at cooking, you're probably bad at cleaning and laundry, right?" 

Y/n: "Suu, I get that you're excited, but there are nicer ways of asking things like that. For example; Rem, what else is there that you're skilled at?"

The last part of the question was directed at Rem as he looked to her with an inquisitive expression

Rem: "Thank you, but it's alright. On the contrary, I am good at all household tasks. I'm also better at cleaning and laundry than my sister" 

Subaki: "Seriously? Does your sister even have a purpose?!" 

Y/n: "Subaki!"

Subaki looked at Y/n who was now giving her a disapproving look for her reaction to the pink haired sister not being as good at house chores than Rem. Roswaal, on the other hand couldn't help but give a small, amused laugh as he watched the two 

Roswaal: "You two are truly a unique young couple~"

The two then looked straight at Roswaal who was still smiling at the two when he said that, a small blush appearing on both of their faces

Y/n & Subaki: "Couple?!" 

Roswaal: "You come to the mansion of Margrave Mathers, in the Kingdom of Lugnica and say you don't understand a thing while also brazenly showing off a taboo marking on your hand, especially during these times"

The last part was directed towards Y/n as Roswaal pointed towards the hand that had the marking upon it, something he groaned at and tugged the sleeve of his outfit down to hide a little more

Subaki: "Is something bad happening in this country?" 

Roswaal: "Well, it is not in an agreeable state. After all, Lugunica's king is currently not present" 

This was a surprise to Y/n and Subaki who had stopped eating their food to digest what had been said, a look of worry was on Subaki's face as she heard that, while Y/n was interested to hear more
