Me and Hazel, my best friend, were eating lunch together by the football field, she shared her spaghettios with me and I shared my chocolates with her.

This girl from the cheerleader group came up to us "You two are the cutest couple in the school!"she then snapped a picture of us

"what.." Hazel muttered under her breath and her face turned bright red like a tomato.

"We're not a couple" I said

"Oh. too late, it's already posted on the schools instagram.. you two already have 405 likes!!" the cheerleader said

Hazel stayed quiet

"oh fuck you" I said to the cheerleader and then she stormed off

"Cant believe that Hazel.."

"what? y-you wouldnt want us dating? I mean like you you uh..-"

"I mean... it'd be okay, you're cute and all but ii am not attracted to girls" I lied, I would love to date her, and Im so into women.

"oh.." Hazel responded, Hazels face and ears were so red right now when I looked over, "you okay?" I asked, "y-yup, Im just fine", she said and looked away, she sounded like she was about to cry.

I put my hand on top of hers and then slowly went into her hand to hold it

"Hazel.."

"yeah...?" her voice sounded like she was about to cry any moment now

I gave her a big hug, "I was lying.. I said quietly "hmm?" she said confused

"I.." I waited a minute, I could feel my face burning up and getting butterflies being this close to her
"Hazel." "yeah..?" "I'm in love with you, like, youre one of the nicest people I've met in this school and you've always been there for me, and the way you keep notes, is one of the cutest things I've seen.."

Hazel stayed quiet but I could see her starting to smile

Hazel then replied "I love you too, I love you a lot.. I want to be your girlfriend.."

"We can be girlfriends.." I said
