"how's she doing?" lance asked as he walked in ollie looked up at him, his eyes red and puffy, his cheeks stained from countless tears. "she's breathing, but she isn't awake yet" he spoke at barely a whisper lance moved and sat on the chair next to ollie "she's gonna be ok" "BUT WHAT IF SHES NOT" he snapped at lance lance looked taken back but fully understood ollie's emotions "sorry" "don't apologise ollie. i get it. you love her, right?" ollie nodded as a single tear spilled from his eye "more than anything" "and she loves you too. when she wakes up you need to tell her" lance was right and ollie knew it "b-but what if....what if she doesn't....you know" lance put an arm around ollie's shoulder "she will. she's strong ok" ollie looked up at lance, who also now had tears rushing down his cheeks. "you two really did prove everyone wrong didnt you" ollie spoke "everyone assumed you would hate each other but, you don't" "she's probably the best teammate i've ever had" lance admitted
"what's up, why are you crying. is she ok?" lando had entered the room, a worries look on his face at the two boys sat next to the bed crying. this made him only assume the worst "she's ok mate, we just miss her" lance said lando nodded, holding back more tears from his red eyes. "me too. the worst part is i left everything awfully. i was gonna speak to her after the race but.....i couldnt" ollie looked up again "same here"
time continued to pass. f1 or aston martin never announced anything about millie or her condition due to it changing every day. one day it would look positive and monitors would show signs of her waking up, but other days she would be in critical condition, but she always managed to fight her way through. they didn't want to announce anything due to not having a stable answer to give people. drivers were asked about her in interviews, and all 20 of them were instructed to simply say nothing and refuse to answer.
"and george before you go, do we have any news on your best mate landos little sister, who as we all know was involved in a terrible accident" "sorry, i won't be answering questions about millie" george said, his eyes beginning to sting at the thought of her "okay thankyou george"
"and jack, how are you feeling after the crash a few weeks ago" "umm yeah i've pretty much recovered" "and millie" jack simply put his head down and shook it to signal he won't be answering and walked away with a heavy heart
