Every caterpillar believes
They will turn into a delicate butterfly
Until the lamps illuminate the leaves
On the evening street as the tall
Man, who lights them
With orange flames
Calls the pest control to kill them all,
Blind their longing for the light,
Silence the buzz of their wings,
Because they are only months in the night.
