Chapter 2 In With The New (edited)

 Time goes by and I keep reminding myself of the events that took place. Within then and now i've bin asleep for so long... I wouldn't even call this sleep but more like being trapped in a still darkness. To make time pass i repeat those tragic events in my head over and over. My emotions go from laughter to crying to frantic screaming. No one can hear my suffering while being locked in an endless darkness. If  one wish could be granted, it would be for someone to come and shatter the stone and the misery that i've bin enduring for all this time. With nothing to do I continue to scream within my confinement hoping to make some type of noise in the dark silent place I now call home. With exhaustion finally coming over me I decided taking a break from the pointless yelling and hollering  would be best and putting my energy into concentrating on my inner thoughts to let out my pain a little more peacefully, I come to a point of reaching a state of calm and feeling more relaxed. My body starts to feel lighter as if i could start floating out of the dark abyss that I reside in but i start hearing what seems to be cracks. Am i finally going to be free suddenly a wave of noise starts to flood through my head as if my brain thought i was a new born child, abrupt screeching start to blare but swiftly dissipates. My head throbs in pain the noise reminds me of a teacher scratching a chalk board to get the classes attention. "Hurry!" someone shouts. hurry? Was someone talking to me... is anyone there without warning i start to hear it. "they're coming! Why are their so many down here? I'll collapse the tunnel! Don't waste your time they faze through objects. Don't Worry I got this calling upon the witch of the north i summon harsh winds to curse my enemies." Whats going on out there? Hello! Anyone! i shout almost forgetting i'm still encased in stone. " See a. peace of ca-. Alright lets keep moving we have to find the Veronika and Robby! Chris.. Luna somethings wrong with my leg its not listening! Ruby we don't have time for this your a veteran caster move them leg... What leg Chris?Ruby what on earth happened! I don't know it was here just a second ago.. luna. hurry can you stop the bleeding? I... can stop the bleeding but the poison will take her eventually. Ruby yells frantically i cant feel my body anymore Luna please help me.. give me a ruby second I can try conciseness... Chris! What are you doing! let me go i can help her. Guys its Getting dark I cant see anything... why is it so quiet guys! Please don't leave me please help me please don't go... Don't leave me! Chris we have to go back... Luna snap out of it i know you hear them coming by the time you figured something out we would of all bin doomed its for the best! Chris what would you know what the best is for anyone." As the two argue i can hear the horrific acts being done to the person they left behind called ruby... Instantly a revelation came over me I can hear! My senses they've come back! How come the fist thing the comes back to me is sound... What am i supposed to do hear my way out of this situation, my frustration starts to run a muck again. Whats with the lack of ability! isn't this the moment of truth where I finally get to help others. "Tsk",  Don't even get me started on the confusion i'm feeling right now... What just happened to those people I heard? Where even are they? How long am i  supposed to just sit here and do nothing... With the fact of me being trapped in stone all I can do is hope and wait... And waiting felt like an understatement.  What felt like an hour started to feel like hours and my conciseness I begin to nod off into the darkest parts of my mind... Yet again I begin to hear the voices but they sound louder ... even closer maybe?" Hide Luna I'll hold them off! Chris that not needed lets keep going. Luna your not builded for these long runs you need to hide ill distract them. Chris your leg is still injured at least let me... Luna please just hide. I see a couple rooms down the corridor just hide block the door and please don't die." Hide?  Why not stay by her side? I'm getting a bad feeling about this. Abruptly a door close to me swings open someone dashing to the somewhere in the room with frenzied breathing it must be luna. Outside the door  Chris starts to banging on what I believe to be doors yelling "over here you demonic gremlins!" I Snicker knowing it's no time to laugh but I couldn't help myself. Listening to my surroundings I hear Luna weeping. I wouldn't blame her with no one to comfort her and her Allies gone she has no other option but to let her tears flow... but apart of me wishing I could help her or at least tells her she's not alone in this room. Deciding it was best i attempted to use the strength that had to release my self from this stone prison that was keeping me captive. I have to help this girl at all cost hearing the stone chisel and crack i start to feel some leeway. Terrifyingly enough in the distance I hear screams of a man it's sounds like somethings happening somewhere far away An argument? No a battle I cant make it out, then I sensed something familiar no someone familiar. I ponder in my mind losing track of what I was doing originally deciding it would be best to figure out where I could be and what was that sensation I felt. Focusing on the sounds around me, I hear water droplets hitting the floor echoing with each drip. Thats not enough to tell me where i am ... I need more information! Focus come on focus! I just need something else to  give me a hint at where I am. Wait I hear something ... click ...click ...click. Is that lights flickering? Well, that's good to know we still have power or something of the sort now let's see what else we can learn ..... "oh no their coming.  Snapping back to my senses, i realize i wasted time to gain information that was not useful at all. Luna continues to speak franticly "god I can't die like this" i've never felt so relatable to someone. Gods if only they would listen, They always say they're here to help and liberate but never show up when needed. Damn... maybe that demon was right these beings called angels are pretty useless. " I need to hide but where? This room is empty and I don't have much time. They'll find me at any moment." Wait, did she say the room was empty but if it's empty where am I? " ah a statue I'll hide behind it." See I knew I was in the room. The Statue has to be me. I wonder what sick pose I did before I turned like this. It has to be something majestic.. right pfft who am I kidding I was half passed out on my deathbed. Then it came back to me a memory i have to find the demon that did this to me, what was her name again... lonely lovely lus. Never less before I knew it I felt something warm holding me with  water going down my back, were these the tears and warmth of Luna. After feeling the warm embrace she says " I guess you and I both will die a lonely death dear statue" my mind froze in silence from the warm but cold words Luna spoke. If only she knew I wasn't dead as of yet maybe I could help her out of this situation she's in. Within seconds I hear the creatures finally enter the room. Luna screams fills the room feeling the agressive heart beat of Luna's heart she's scared an. I try my best to release myself from my restraints but to no avail. I had no choice but to feel the warmth from her body get ripped away from me as she screamed for someone to help. Soon after her screams went silent and a splash of warm liquid covered my stone figure my heart started to race. What's happening out there? Why did everything go silent please don't tell me she's gone! I was here I could have saved her I could have done something. Focusing on my hearing,I heard nothing. My heart was racing and beating too loud to hear anything. Suddenly I hear a crack, my eyelids feel light and something warm is touching my eyes. It feels familiar. Is this sunlight... I opened my eyes and took a look around. The light is blinding me. I have regained my vision but where is Luna? I looked around even more and to my horror, tiny creatures were tearing at a corpse. I look closer and focus my eyesight. it's a girl and she seems to be choking on the last of the blood she has left, her stomach is open and those vile creatures are using her insides as a plaything. Rage begins to fill my body. I start to feel my body's warmth coming back to me all I can think of is trying to save this girl as best I can. The stone around me starts to crack and break. I use the last bit of my strength to burst through the stone that has been my imprisonment. I land on my hands and knees In a pool of blood dizzy but aware. As my eyes come to I look at myself in the reflection of the puddle of blood. My features have changed. I still have my beautiful dark skin but my hair and eyes are different. My eyes are gold with an emerald tint to them and my hair it's white as if I'm an old man but I still look like me before my stone imprisonment. However this was no time to ponder. I look around to see where the girl named Luna is, it takes me a couple of seconds to get my vision under control and the strength of my muscles to remember how to stand. Within that time the little shadows start dancing around the body as if they have gotten a trophy kill. I hear Luna on the floor choking on their blood asking for help as best she can. She lifts her lifeless hand at me.With revenge filling my heart and my emotions growing colder I stand , moving forward I start walking towards her and from walking to running to full-on sprinting yelling! Those vile things turn around in confusion not knowing what to take of the situation,I wouldn't either for just moments ago it was just them and her in the room. As I got closer I let out a powerful yell to leave her alone, they paused. All they can do now is look at me in fear.. they start to get the courage to run but I continue to chase. Bolting out the room and up the stairs I realize we are in the old station. I manage to grab one and proceed to rip its arms off the other creature looking back in horror as I send their friend's lifeless corpse falling into the deep abyss. I hear one of them shout Mmm..Monster, I pause and smirk... If I was the true monster here I would be the one who killed Luna and danced over her body like a prize. As the monsters moved up the stairs they paused to look around but the realization of being cornered with no way out proceeded to hit them. I finally made it up the stairs laughing not realizing I was producing so much killing intent towards the cornered monsters. They start pleading for their lives and tell me they didn't realize a fellow demon was here. I look at them with disgust and angrily spitting on the floor. Who are you calling a Demon and a comrade at that? With the wave of my hand most of their heads were severed. Without realizing what I did I walked towards the last demon... so your demons after all. It looked at me in shock. He tries to speak and stutters "...aren't we both my lord?" I told him to explain. He nods " We were in shock because we didn't expect a powerful lord to be down here. "You were emitting so much demonic and heavenly energy we didn't know what to do so we ran away." My head hurts so does that mean I really did absorb the powers of those two celestial beings? Ahhh this is so confusing! I look towards the lil demon and tell him I have more questions and don't try to run. I turn and start passing the lobby of the collapsed station Seeing ruby's lifeless corps with open eyes bend over closing it stating i'm so sorry for your suffering. I look to the demon ready to ask more question but before I was able to my heart began to race and the skin on my back began to burn. The demon yells my lord are you ok and runs towards me. I tell it to stay away from me but doesn't listen. It gets closer to take a look, then it happened feathers start to burst from my back and form around my head digging into my skin creating a crown of some sort on my head. My mind goes blank and my emotions go cold. I stand to look down at the small demon. I raise my hand and it looks at me in confusion. My Lord... with a blink of an eye black wings consume the monster leaving nothing behind. I come back to my senses, standing in confusion... What was I doing up here again? Oh right Luna! I ran back down the stairs to Luna's almost lifeless body and looked at her. She starts to choke on her blood once more and "says at least I didn't have to die alone. I'm glad to know someone was here to give me comfort" as she passes away my mind is filled with many emotions, confusion, rage, hatred but most importantly sorrow. With her at my knees I start to share words of gratitude and my sorry's. I wasn't able to save her. After a minute of silence I get up and walk away. As I start to walk I see her severed hand by the door most likely tossed by one of the demons My mind goes blank as if I'm still encased in stone. I pick up her hands and proceed to walk back up the stairs making my way to the exit of the stations. Stopping by Ruby's body once again bending over i proceed to examen her corpse maybe something i can hold on to she has a shiny neckless around her neck. Perfect this could be something important to her loved ones. Taking her neckless I stand back up... I continue to walk finally reaching the outside of the station i start to zone out thinking of what outside looks like what this new world finally has in stored for me... Is this even a new world to me? Or did I finally lose my mind. The sun with a fresh breeze hits me. I take a look around and see ruins of my former city, what even happened here wheres all the people? With a few tall buildings still standing I decided to make way to the top of them to see if I could get a lay of the land. Not knowing how to use my wings, I made my way up flight after flight of stairs. Seeing old corpses lying around at their desk. I sigh these poor people didn't even have a chance to escape. I finally made it to the roof of the building and took in the view of the city... So everything is really destroyed. My heart grows colder as I can see where families tried to run and people tried to escape. Collapsed buildings and raised roads surrounded me at every corner. I turn to look at the bridge I crossed before turning to stone and it looks like it's somehow standing after all this mess and maintained by someone. I sit at the edge of the building thinking of what I should do next. As I relax my wings curl around me, clothing but also comforting me. I still can't get used to this. I look up at the dusk sky coldly. What do I do now? With nothing to do I doze off.. Just what I needed right? more sleep..... I closed my eyes for what felt like two minutes and suddenly I heard an explosion roaring from behind me. I sit up startled wings covering my eyes but giving me a slit to peek through. Focusing my gaze towards the stations... So people were alive down there. Continuing my survey I see a girl flying out of the building but why does it seem as if time has stopped around her. She uses the rubble around her to make her way down to street level, she seems to be carrying someone. Curious and curiouser! Moments after she gets to the ground she collapses and a demon lands in front of her. Hmm that's odd why does it seem like I've seen that weapon before not realizing I walked off the building, my wings gradually gliding me downwards towards the girl. Hopefully I make it in time. I wonder if she's a friend of Lunas. With my feet touching the ground I walked up to the monster who seemed to be getting ready to strike the final blow on the young lady but the demon stopped. He looks towards me and asks " Who are you and why do I sense my master for you?" I pay him no mind and look at the girl. She stares at me muttering a few words "help me.". I nod, walking towards the monster. Little did I know that this meeting was not by chance but fate. My fate.
