Have you listened to Like My Father by Jax? It's an amazing song, but I can't really relate to it. So, I decided to write my version of it.

I wanna come home to roses
And dirty little notes on post-its
And when my hair starts turning grey
He'll say I'm like a fine wine, better with ageBut I didn't learn it from my parents
I don't know if true love exists
There were no hugs, never a date night
No one apologized after the fightsI need a man who's patient and kind
But I think loving might be in vain
I wanna fall in love but I don't want
To sign myself up for a life of pain
And so I think I'll just fly soloDon't need a man who'll treat me like
My father does my momCause if he's anything like my father
Our daughter will have no idea
What it takes to love a queen
She should know she's royalty
