A few minutes later the ingredients arrived and Jake went and recieved it before he entered the kitchen to begin making everything
Heeseung was half-heartedly listening to jay and sunoo talk when he heard soft humming and realised that Jake was humming while cooking.
Since he was aldready uninterested in what Jay and sunoo were talking about, he stood up and went into the kitchen. Jay noticed him but quickly focused back into his conversation with sunoo
Heeseung entered the kitchen to find Jake with his head down as he grabbed a lot of spices. Curious, heeseung walked upto the younger. And since he was taller, he could easily look over Jake's shoulder to see what he was doing. And it was especially easy since Jake was too engrossed in whatever he was doing to notice heeseung walking upto him
Jake who was in his own world cooking froze when he felt someone's presence loom over his figure. He slowly turned his head to see heeseung looking over his shoulder and at the steaks which he was currently seasoning
He turned his head to meet Jake's eyes as they just held eye contact for a few seconds. When it got a bit awkward, Jake cleared his throat causing heeseung to take a small step back before he stood next to Jake
"What are you doing right now?" Heeseung asked Jake who looked at him with literal glittering eyes as he gave a genuine smile
"Well right now I've seasoned the steaks with dry seasonings. I'll now add buttermilk and leave them to marinate for atleast half an hour while I make some mashed potatoes to go along with the steak. After the steaks are ready, I'll cook them, basting them with a lot of butter and then charring some vegetables in the butter and fat" jake intently explained as heeseung nodded in understanding before Jake left to go get the buttermilk from the refrigerator.
When he got back heeseung was sitting on the counter where he was working. He bit his lower lip in nervousness of working while heeseung was so close by but he mentally shrugged before placing the buttermilk on the counter before he added a good amount.
After he'd added enough buttermilk, he kept the carton back into the refridgerator before using his hands to mix everything together as heeseung watched silently
But as Jake was mixing the marinade his hair fell onto his eyes and since he couldn't use his own hands, he had to blow on his hair to push it out of the way. It worked.... for one second before the hair fell right back onto his face
Heeseung saw him struggle as he couldn't help laugh before he leaned forward, gently pushing the hair out of his face as Jake gave him a small 'thank you' before going back to mixing the marinade
Heeseung was kinda getting bored so he thought of an idea "Jake, can I play some music?" He wondered as Jake nodded without hesitation
So heeseung opened his phone, putting on his playlist as 'strawberries and cigarettes' by Troye Sivan began to play. It was heeseung's favourite song so he hoped Jake would like it too

Heeseung sang along to the song as Jake couldn't help vibe along. Because the song actually was really nice.
When heeseung realised the song was over, he looked up to notice Jake just standing leaned against the counter and a realisation dawned on him, Jake was listening to him sing all this time
He couldn't help blush at the realisation as 'princesses don't cry' began to play. He just watched Jake silently before the younger walked upto him, leaning into him as he... grabbed the butter he'd kept on the counter
Heeseung was blushing red with how close the two were. And Jake was in no mood of moving away when the elder smelled so absolutely good.
But ofcourse things can never go their way as they both heard sunoo's screatch of "oh my god! What the fuck are you both doing!" sunoo asked as him and Jay walked into the kitchen as Jake quickly moved away from heeseung
Sunoo and Jay sat on the stools like normal people while heeseung still stayed in his position while Jake began to sear the steaks, basting them while vibing along to the song which was playing
"So heeseung hyung, could you explain what was happening between you both right now?" Sunoo asked as heeseung stilled, not finding the right words to explain. But thankfully Jake stepped in
"The butter was kept behind him and I was just getting it. Don't jump to conclusions so quickly " jake clarified before he plated the steaks, throwing the veggies into the pan as he quickly runs to the refrigerator, grabbing a bottle of red wine as he poured it into the pan after he removed the veggies, flambéing it as everyone screams in amazement before jake poured the sauce on each steak
After he kept the pan back, he brought everyone their plate as he got his one aswell. He stood next to heeseung who was now also standing.
"Heeseung you need to try the first bite since you've never had Jake's food" jay told heeseung who was about to put a piece of steak in his mouth but sunoo stopped them
"WAITT! Can we play a minigame?" He asks as Jake gives him a skeptical look
"Depends on what the game is" jake warned as sunoo gave him a bright smile
"Don't worry Hyungie. It's a simple one, all you have to do is follow my instructions. See, easy!" Sunoo explains as Jake reluctantly agrees alongside Jay and heeseung
"Ok so what do we have to do?" Jake wonders as sunoo grins. Uh oh this is a bad sign
"All you need to do hyung is, keep a piece of steak in your mouth and pass it to heeseung hyung" sunoo simply told them as Jake choaked on the water he was drinking
"I'm sorry WHAT!" Jake screamed "nah I don't consent to this... whatever it is" jake spoke, his Aussie accent coming out due to the sheer stupidity of sunoo's words as heeseung nodded in agreement
"Hyungie you have to~~ you promised to agree to do what I said" sunoo tried to convince Jake but he wouldn't listen
"Please hyungie~~ I promise I'll do anything you ask me to do. Please Hyungie just do this one thing?" Sunoo asked him, putting on his cutest puppy face as Jake couldn't help fall for it
"Fine. But only because you promised to listen to me" he said as sunoo cheered before looking over at heeseung with the same puppy face which heeseung ended up giving into aswell as sunoo's face lit up with pure joy
"So, Jake hyungie you will have the steak in your mouth ok?" Sunoo instructs as Jake reluctantly cuts a quite large piece of steak before putting it into his mouth as he turns to heeseung who was looking at Jake with wide eyes
Jake moves towards heeseung who took instinctive steps backwards until his back hit the kitchen wall. Even then, he was thinking of running away but Jake quickly blocked him off using his arms which he put on either sides of heeseung's head
"Ok heeseung hyung. It's gonna be a quick little thing ok? You'll just take a small nibble of the steak and I'll eat the rest. No one needs to know you only took a small bite ok?" Jake whispers to heeseung who just stared. Stared at Jake's eyes and then his mouth
Jake took it as a sign and moved closer to heeseung, forcing him to open his mouth and take a bite. But suddenly in a split second, heeseung's mind began to function again and instead of taking a small nibble like Jake had asked, he held the younger's face using his hands as he took a huge bite of the steak, their lips touching as Jake's eyes widened in shock
