Overbearing

Water Flow

Positive? Negative? Im not so sure.
Once flowing though my mind,
Now cloudy like a storm.

You take over my thoughts,
You took over my soul.
Just to shatter my heart
Just like I was told.

The pieces are left scattered
All over on floor, close by the door
Shattered and Sharp
Im left earning for more
My oh my, my heart is sore.

A dam now built
Blocking the flow.
Walls are thick
Not sure if they'll go
But surely we'll know

A couple months pass
There were a few cracks
Now seeing how you were
I'd like the thoughts to surpass

The dam is now broke
They moved on
Giving up the idea
Not trying to stop the flow

The tide is strong
The journey will be long.
I'm not able to let go.

Those pieces of mine have been cleaned up
No thanks to you
I clench my fists when I see you
Can't believe their words were true.

You walk in the door; I walk out the door
Once someone I knew
Now a stranger covered in a red hue.
