that'd I'd never stop
trudging
onward
helping push you up that hillhow much do I have to love you
for you to love yourself
do I have the rip my heart apart
divide it in two
and give the better half to you
I'd do it
I'd do it all for you
but I find I'm growing weary
feeling heavy
unable to bear the hate you carryI spread myself thinner
(I'm the butter at the end of the dish, that little bit in the jar grandma won't throw away)
please love yourself
like I love you
whole, complete
and tried and trueI need you too
