Kendall groaned as the light hit her eyes at an alarming rate.

Her head was pounding, but the pain had reduced.

"Dear, are you awake?"

Kendall peeled her eyes open, and they widened when she saw the old woman.

"You-!", A loud cough resonated from her.

"Calm down dear, you've been out for a while"

Kendall stared at her with teary eyes.

"Where am I?", She asked.

"You are in my home, we found you-"

"Why do you keep saying 'we'?"

Her question was answered when a tall man entered.

He looked too familiar, but she couldn't put her finger on it.

All she knew was that he gave her the creeps.

"We are not going to harm you-"

"Please let me go...", She begged.

"You cannot go in this state", he cautioned.

"Dear-"

"Stay away from me!".

Slowly, Kendall got up from the bed, pain running through her entire body.

"I want to go home...", She pleaded.

"Come down for tea whenever you are ready, then, we will explain everything", the old woman said, moving out with the man.

"Don't try to run away, it's dangerous out there", he warned before closing the door.

As soon as he left, Kendall rushed to the window, wincing at the pain with every step she took.

She stared in horror at the large iron bars that blocked her freedom.

She tugged on them, but with the little strength she had, it was useless.

She went to the door, and listened carefully.

There, she heard two bushed voices.

"We have to help her..."

"She can't go, ma...she signed her fate"

"She will die here"

"You and I both know that he will never let her go"

Kendall realised that she was in trouble, and she would have to escape.
