''So you're basically just going to go get a tattoo? Right before prom?'' Lauren questioned, following me from room to room. Stopping by the front door and spinning around to face her, she looked somewhat annoyed.
''It's not going to be seen. It's not a big deal.''
''It's not a big deal? You're getting a fucking tattoo without like, permission.''
''I'm nineteen years old, I don't need permission. You can either stay here and be pissed at me, or you can come along.'' Grabbing my leather jacket and placing it on I waited for her to respond.
''I swear to god, if you get some stupid tattoo on like your neck or something. I will not stop myself from slapping you.''
''Geez, you're extra feisty this morning.''
''Because I have to deal with you.'' She hit back, folding her arms. Opening the door, I allowed her to go first making sure I had everything.
''Look Lauren, it's my body. And don't act all innocent, you want one too. Don't pass judgement.''
''Have I ever told you how annoying you can be.''
''Only the times when I'm right.''
''Just, let me in the damn car.'' Lauren yet again demanded, and so I did which followed in me joining her. Bringing the car to life, I let the engine rev a little before heading in the direction of the tattoo parlour. Lauren sat silent acting super pissed.

''Okay so let me just confirm this. You want it just below this scar?'' The tattoo artist pointed to my scar that covered my rib cage on the right. Nodding my head he gave a thumbs up ''Okay, let me just go grab everything and I'll get to work.''
''Take your time.'' He gave another thumbs up, leaving me with Lauren.
''Can you stop looking so annoyed at me?''
''I'm not, just we have ten days till prom and you're too busy getting a tattoo. Rather than a suit. Do you even know the colou...''
''Red. You're wearing red because you want to show that you can make red not look so simple, plus it's an elegant colour. I was thinking my suit could be black, white shirt. As for the colour to match with your dress, my tie and the pocket square will be red. Brown leather shoes, a dark brown though.''
''Have you tried one on?'' She leaned back in the chair, crossing her leg over.
''No, but I'll go suit shopping after this. You can come along if you wish. Also your dress, I'm paying for it.''
''No you're not.''
''Yes I am, because again this means a lot to both of us. And I want to do everything I can.''
''Zac it's not happenin..''
''Yes it is, end of discussion. Your mom seemed fine with it.'' Lauren rolled her eyes, huffing and puffing annoyingly.
''You're not buying me.''
''Did I say I was?'' She shook her head, not looking on at me. ''No, exactly. I don't exactly have a reason to spend the money I get, so it can go on something memorable and special. That being your dress.''
''Fine, let's just drop it before we argue more and this whole date thing doesn't happen.''
My nostrils flared, seeing as I was being generous. Her mom had said that work was hard and they had to pay off certain bills, along with saving money for the next family holiday. But no, Lauren was acting like a brat once again.
