We had pulled up to the venue, where I had stepped out and fixed my jacket once again. Helping Lauren out, her hand fitted to mine as one leg stepped out.

''Can you help me with the dress?'' She asked, laughing at herself. Bending down, I took her other hand and slowly helped her out. Once she was out, I brushed off her dress so it wouldn't get stuck in the door, or run through the grass.

''Thank you Zac.'' Lauren smiled, I nodded my head and grabbed the corsage before shutting the door. The driver knew to wait, as we had a few more stops on the way. Taking her hand in mine, we walked up the paving stone pathway, her hand gripping tight to mine as she stumbled a little.

Once in the garden, we had spotted her friends along with their family and hers. We had been offered a glass of champagne each, which we both accepted.

Damn... I missed the feeling of her hand in mine for so stupid reason.

Sipping at the sparkling beverage, we gathered with everyone. Kissing cheeks and shaking hands is all I did for the first few minutes, I had made small chit chat with a few until we were called over to her family.

''Photo time!'' Taylor squealed, and grabbed onto my arm. We had took a few pictures together, as I did the same with the five girls and the rest of the family. Stealing a kiss on the cheek from Angelica.

Lauren was also swept off her feet by her family, taking photos with them, before taking a group one with the girls.

I had to do mine singularly with the girls, for some reason. We also then took a group photo with her parents, then family in a whole. Clara had gestured me to take Lauren aside for a few moments to exchange the corsage for the boutonniere that I would be wearing.

Resting my hand on her mid back, she turned around and smiled.

''Can I just have a few minutes of your time?'' I whispered, as she was surrounded by her distant family.

''Of course you may.'' Her smile was infectious, as we walked over to the balcony. Looking out at the scenery of the lake behind us as the sun was slowly setting. She stood and admired for a few seconds, before regaining her focus back on me. Her mom must have noticed as when I looked around, all eyes were on us.

''I don't really know if there's a speech when you exchange these, so um bear with me.'' Taking the corsage out of the box, I soon set that on the table beside her and had asked for her hand.

Slipping the white flowered with red petals scattered along the corsage onto her wrist, I heard a shy laugh escape her lips as she took the boutonniere from her mother's hand.

''I thought to not over power the red, and white seems to look beautiful in any way, shape or form on you. So yeah.''

''Awe, thank you Zac.'' My cheeks quickly heated up, my heart once again in my mouth as she took the boutonniere out of the plastic box. Taking a hold on my jacket, she pierced the stem of it into the hole before resting her other hand on my chest.

It was also white with small black diamantes and red flowers scattered around it.

''I didn't really have a reasoning, except for it suiting you. But now that I saw the reveal of you in a suit, I'd say you look handsome and even more with it. Well you already did, but now you look more handsome.''

Her nerves grew, her head shying away as she cursed at herself.

''Thank you Lauren.'' I smiled, rubbing my thumb over her cheek quickly to reassure her nerves.

''Let's get a picture of you two!'' Clara exclaimed, snapping us out of the small moment. Her hand remained on my chest, with my arm around her waist. My smile was genuine and hopefully so was Lauren's. We did the normal prom couple poses, before making a silly face.
