Lucy had quickly settled into her new life as a member of Fairy Tail. The guild had become her second home, a place filled with eccentric but welcoming comrades who had embraced her as one of their own. Despite the initial shock of Natsu's return and his unexpected assistance, she had found herself forging connections and forming friendships she had never anticipated.

As weeks passed, Lucy decided to rent an apartment near the guild. It was a cozy space that she could call her own, a sanctuary where she could relax and unwind after missions and adventures. She had made it her own with warm, inviting decor and little touches that reflected her personality. One day, while she was at the guild, she approached Natsu, her voice filled with genuine warmth. "Natsu, I wanted to give you something." She handed him a spare key to her apartment.

Natsu looked at the key in surprise, his brows furrowing in confusion. "What's this for?" he asked.

Lucy smiled, her eyes reflecting the trust and friendship that had grown between them. "It's for my apartment. You can come over anytime you want, Natsu. We're friends, after all."

Natsu stared at Lucy for a moment, as if processing her words. It was a simple gesture, but it held profound meaning for him. It was a sign of trust and acceptance, something he hadn't experienced often in his life. Finally, Natsu grinned, his signature toothy smile lighting up his face. "Thanks, Lucy. I appreciate it."

With that, he pocketed the key, and Lucy couldn't help but feel a sense of accomplishment. She had reached out to Natsu, and he had accepted her offer of friendship. It was an unlikely bond that had formed between them, but it was one that she cherished.

Ash, Lucy's loyal Exceed companion, watched the exchange with satisfaction. He had always believed in the goodness of Natsu's heart, even when others saw only chaos. He knew that Natsu had found a true friend in Lucy, and it warmed his own heart to see his best friend finding her footing in the guild. As the days turned into weeks, Lucy's apartment became a gathering place for her newfound friends. Natsu, Happy, and other guild members would drop by, and the apartment would come alive with laughter, stories, and camaraderie.

Unbeknownst to Lucy, Natsu had confided in Happy about his feelings toward her and the unusual connection they shared. Happy, always the voice of reason and optimism, believed that this friendship was a step toward healing Natsu's own wounds and finding his place within Fairy Tail. And so, an unlikely friendship blossomed between Lucy and Natsu, two individuals who had come together under the most unexpected circumstances. It was a bond that would be tested, strengthened, and cherished as they faced the adventures, challenges, and mysteries that awaited them in the world of magic, chaos, and camaraderie that was Fairy Tail.

Lucy and Ash stood by the guild's quest board, scanning through the various job requests that were pinned up. Lucy had taken on several missions in recent weeks, both to prove her worth to the guild and to replenish her dwindling supply of jewels. As she read through the requests, one particular job caught her eye.

It was a seemingly simple mission titled "The Burning Tome." The task was straightforward: retrieve a rare and valuable book that was rumored to have the power to control fire. The reward, however, was what made Lucy's eyes widen with surprise—it offered a staggering two million jewels.

Ash couldn't help but laugh at Lucy's reaction. "Lucy, you're such a weirdo. You get all giddy over a job with a big payout."
