"Harry!"

Harry stopped in his tracks at Annabeth's voice, though he did it reluctantly. He needed to talk to Dumbledore, and he needed to talk to him now.

"What?" Harry said as passively as he could.

"I know you had a dream. Not some random brain made dream, an important one," Annabeth said urgently, starting to walk briskly. Harry matched her pace, and he realized Annabeth was going towards Dumbledore's office.

"I already told Trelawney, it was nothing," Harry insisted. He knew Annabeth was in on this now, but that didn't make it any easier to share that he'd been having mad dreams. "I just need a headache cure."

"Harry." Annabeth turned to look at him. "I had it, too."

Harry froze. You would think Annabeth had fried his brain.

"You what?" he said.

"It's a demigod thing," Annabeth said, continuing her fast walk, Harry following suit. "I've been in that room in my dreams twice before. It's real."

"I need to talk to Dumbledore," Harry said as they reached a fork in the corridor. "Are you going to come?"

Annabeth shook her head. "This is more about you than me. Tell me everything he says, though. Everything."

"Yeah, okay. I will."

"Good."

They ran off in different directions, Harry heading for Dumbledore, Annabeth running for the owlery. She had some letters to send.

***

The letter was a bit longer than Annabeth had anticipated. It took over a few scrolls of parchment, but it was all important. At least she had been able to write it in ancient Greek. Otherwise she never would have finished.

Annabeth couldn't believe she hadn't thought about it before. The Athena Cabin had some of the best strategists in the world. How could she not have written to them about this sooner? She had the paper, she had a quill and ink, she had a way to get it to them.

Whatever. She could fixate on that later. Right now she had things to do. Annabeth numbered the scrolls and put them into a little pouch attached to Saffi's leg. Saffi hooted happily and hopped onto Annabeth's outstretched legs while Annabeth wrote a quick note and addressed it to Malcolm, the acting head counselor in Annabeth's absence.

She also wrote a letter to Percy about everything. True, he wasn't as good at puzzles as Annabeth was, but he was smart, even though he was a Seaweed Brain. Plus, Percy looked at things with a different perspective than Annabeth did, and she needed his input more than anything else.

She had a few other letters to send, but Saffi was the only owl who was able to get them to camp. Saffi hooted and gave her smug look to all the other owls while Annabeth walked over to a window with Saffi on her head.

Carefully disentangling Saffi's claws from her hair, Annabeth convinced her owl to hop down onto her arm.

"Get it to them as soon as possible," Annabeth whispered. "Okay?"

Saffi rubbed the top of her head on Annabeth's face affectionately, then hooted and took off. Annabeth watched until she was a speck on the horizon, then sat back down.

She addressed her next letter to Sirius. She had already written to him about the Crouch incident, but now she needed to let him know what was going on now. After a second, Annabeh decided not to tell him that she had had the dream too. The less people who knew about that, the better. Really it was only a matter of time before Sirius knew. Harry told that man everything, but Annabeth would have to tell him to keep it on the DL.
