I was running away from Dobsy.
"Come here you bitch. Give me back that bread loaf you little slut.''
"No it is for Evy she hasn't eaten anything for the past two days. Narlan and Merlin are not here. Its up to me to give her food."
"Stop you scum, valentine will be really angry with you."
She kicked me hard and straddled me as I fell down on the ground. I could feel searing pain in my back.
"Let me go Dobsy"
Without another word she pulled me up and took me to Valentine's quarters. She asked permission to bring me in. After that she left. Valentine seemed angry. He was pacing and muttering at the same time
"I have heard that you are giving tough time to Dobsy and others."
I mustered all the courage I had and replied
"I just wanted to take a loaf of bread for Evy. She hasn't eaten for the past two days."
"I have punished her for being so lenient on you. If you want her to eat then wake up every morning and work in the kitchen with Moby. Only then your evy will get bread."
"What do you say huh"
He was a strange man his mood was suddenly lightened up
"First you promise me to give her bread then I will agree."
He laughed and said
"I promise my little kitten. Oh you are so innocent. Alas I have to keep that innocence intact for a greater purpose. Now that is our secret."
"Okay"
He asked
I nodded but couldn't understand a single word he was saying.
