The XR-1 is the first experimental plasma weapon that is small enough to be carried by a single individual. Gas from the removable canister in the buttstock is converted into plasma in the energy chamber and then fired using electromagnetic accelerator. The weapon features a power setting, allowing to switch between low-energy, non-lethal shots and higher power shots capable of inflicting serious damage.
As it is an experimental weapon, it is far from being perfect. The XR-1 is rather bulky and heavy, prone to malfunctions and the plasma projectiles only have short effective range. The lessons learnt during its development were later used to produce an improved design, the R2 Plasma Rifle.
Description:
8K4 "Nefelus" is a multipurpose missile launcher manufactured by Kaneesian. While it externally resembles the older 8K2 "Ingunis", it is a substantially more capable system. In the case of 8K4, a new generation of guided missiles are used, and a basic optical sight of the 8K2 has been replaced with a computerized fire control unit, allowing for target lock-on. After a missile is fired, the entire launch tube is discarded and replaced with a new one. Most common missiles used with the weapon include the 8K4E1 tandem-charge high-explosive anti-tank guided missile (marked with a yellow stripe on the launch tube tube), the 8K4E2 anti-aircraft guided missile (marked with a light blue stripe), the 8K4E4 thermobaric missile (marked with a red stripe) and an unguided 8K4E6 high-explosive fragmentation rocket (marked with an orange dashed stripe).
The variety of available missile types and the guidance system make the Nefelus a very versatile launcher, capable of engaging various armored vehicles, fortified positions and low-flying aircraft. The launcher is usually operated by a two-man team, where one soldier carries the launcher and the second soldier carries spare launch tube(s), or supported by a light all-terrain vehicle which carries multiple launch tubes of various types.
While the advancements of active protection systems make the 8K4 less useful against some of the most modern military vehicles, at shorter ranges, against older vehicles (which Rotharnian Armed Forces still field a tremendous amount of) or against fortified positions, the launcher remains an incredible tool. Although it was later supplemented by an anti-tank pulse laser developed by Staris to circumvent the threat of APS, the Nefelus remained a common sight on the battlefield in the later stages of the Global War and it gradually replaced most of the older 8K2 launchers in service within the Istarian Army.

The standard firearm was issued to the VKPD's officers. It holds 15 rounds and has a built-in flashlight under the main nuzzle and a built-in taser under that for non-lethal, close-range takedowns to incapacitate targets but requires recharging before each use.

Circuits typically are deployed from the human body and have unlimited use(minus the general fatigue to the user) but they also require a large amount of power to function the human body once again provides this function over some time when not in use.
Ria'kortaal KvG 6.4/3 Assault Rifle.
Description:
KvG 6.4/3 is a modern assault rifle manufactured by Ria'kortaal. Although not as advanced as contemporary Staris designs, it is still a formidable weapon with several neat features. The most notable one is an electronic top accessory rail, which is powered by a power cell located behind the magazine. This means that optical devices, lasers and other devices mounted to the top rail don't require their own battery. Moreover, the battery acts as a weight and helps to somewhat reduce felt recoil. The weapon fires polymer-cased 6.4 × 48 mm rounds and has a similar magazine configuration to Staris's "C" series of rifles. The stock comes with a soft cheek pad and has an adjustable length of pull. Many parts of the weapon, such as the stock, barrel, front handguard, and powered rail module can be swapped out for different ones, making the gun highly configurable.
