Third Person POV

In the confines of your living room, the television flickered with restless energy.

Your parents were out, tending to something of great import.

Meanwhile, Minji, your sister, was away on a date with her girlfriend, the vivacious HANNI.

Yawning, you stared at the TV, feeling a profound sense of boredom gnaw at you.

Then, a resonant chime echoed through your home.

Someone was at the door, but the question that lingered was: Who could it be?

As you approached the door, your heart quickened with anticipation.

The door creaked open, revealing none other than Kang Haerin, your classmate, and the perennial thorn in your side, known for being the annoying girl next door.

"What do you want?" you demanded.

"I want your mom," she replied, a statement that left you utterly baffled.

"She's already married. Besides, you're about the same age as her kid, and my Dad is still very much alive. So, your chances of dating my mom are practically zero," you retorted, your eyes rolling in exasperation.

"Give me a reason to let you in."

She brandished a pot in front of your face.

"What's this?" you asked.

"Mom made some Kimchi, and she thought to share some with you guys. Now, let me see Mrs. Kim!" she insisted, a touch of impatience in her voice.

You sighed, rolling your eyes once more. "She's not home. Come back when she is."

As you began to close the door, she halted you with an indignant exclamation.

"What the heck, Kang?!" you exclaimed. She pushed past you, declaring,

"I'll just leave this Kimchi pot in the kitchen and be on my way."

"Fine, do it quickly," you grumbled, your patience wearing thin.

She quipped, "Okay, I'll be done in two years!" as she deliberately sauntered towards the kitchen.

You sighed and returned to the couch. Soon enough, Haerin emerged from the kitchen.

"All done. Now, I'll be on my way," she announced.

"I'll be the one to kick you out," you countered, meeting her gaze with steely resolve. She shot you a defiant look.

"By the way, where's Minji Unnie? Are you all alone in the house?" she inquired.

"She's out," you replied tersely.

"Ohh, you seem just as dull as your personality," she remarked, earning a sharp look from you.

"And now, it's time for you to leave," you declared, your tone leaving no room for negotiation. Haerin couldn't help but giggle.

"Y/n, let me offer you a piece of advice," she suggested, taking a seat on the couch.

"Wow, advice from Kang Haerin? That's something nobody asked for," you quipped, to which Haerin responded, "Well, let me ask a question first: is Hanni Pham, this adorable girl, really dating someone as uninteresting and plain as you?"

You couldn't help but giggle.

"Oh, absolutely. Hanni isn't just my girlfriend, she's been my lovely wife for two years now," you proclaimed, though in reality, she was your sister's girlfriend.

"How utterly dull. Here's my advice then: break up with her. She doesn't deserve to be tied down by someone as uninspiring and unremarkable as you," Haerin suggested with a smirk.

"Thank you," you said, a touch of irony in your voice.
